Nature Valley's Fruit Crips

I'm student teaching this semester, and on my cooperating teacher's desk the other day, I saw an empty package of these. As usual, I picked it up, expecting to see the CONTAINS: WHEAT statement at the bottom of the ingredient listing. Well, it wasn't there.

I investigated further, the ingredients look safe. It's a General Mills product, so that means it should be good, right? So now my question is, are they any good? They look healthy and gluten-free. Should I go buy a box?

Considering the end of the semester is coming fast and the stress level is going up very fast on campus, it would be very nice to hvae a new food to snack on:-)... and a new food to keep in my room for when everyone else comes to eat my food!

Okay, I guess it's a typo in your heading, but I thought Fruit Crips? Is that a new gang, and are there Fruit Bloods? My laugh for the morning.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you

Anyone else get pins and needles. ??? Burning feeling ? Heat makes it so much worse 😔  Winter is here.  I had to lower my thermostat because I couldn't take that hot air feeling 😔  Hopefully it goes away soon
