I never ate much fast food but I'd been missing it lately. My husband saved his money and bought me "supersize me" the movie. How sweet!!

The point is, I hadn't eaten it all day when I started the movie. I was starving.

I had a salad. Sans dressing. And a banana.

So whenever you start missing fast food, or anything like that...... Rent supersize me. It worked for me!! Ha ha.

Just thought I'd share my good mood. :-D

I've watched it...and went a week without fast food...then I went back to fast food. Granted I definitely don't eat as much now anymore.

But that's definitely a good idea for when I want it...

After watching Supersize Me, I went months without fast food. In the last year, I've probably only had something from a fast food restaurant once or twice. I just don't need engineered food! :)

Guhlia Rising Star

I haven't eaten fast food since watching that documentary. It freaked me out.

I never eat fast food, nor do I want to. I showed the movie to my boyfriend who used to eat it once a week and he hasn't touched it since in almost 2 years.

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
