Just like other processed foods, it will vary by manufacturer. Some might be safe, and others may not. #1 Rule is not to eat anything unless you know the ingredients yourself. My best advice if you want to eat it, is go up before then, at a time when they aren't busy, ask to speak to a manager, and see the ingredients.

All that being said....most microwavable popcorn at home is gluten free, so *chances* are, there should be some that are safe.

Be mindful of cross contamination, as well!

Enjoy the movie.....what are you going to see?!

Of course I can't guarantee that every single movie popcorn out there is gluten-free, but I've yet to find one that isn't.

There are 4 of us going to the movies...not sure what we will wind up seeing..there are so many good new ones coming out on Christmas...I would love to see either the Will Smith movie or Dreamgirls..but my neice wants to see Blood Diamond or something else, I can't remember which one it is...but they all sound good. Maybe I will give up on the popcorn and eat a candy bar instead...Sissy

Do you kow what movie theater you are going to? I eat Cinemark popcorn with no problem. I avoid the "butter" because I have no idea what is in it.

Either do they - LOL

I usually ask to read the ingredients to the "butter". I've never found one that's not safe. I always get popcorn and have never had a reaction.

I'd be more concerned about the candy than the popcorn if I were you. I can think of plenty of candy with gluten in it. I've asked at the theaters around here and they all use just popcorn, coconut oil and salt. We don't get the "butter" topping because it likely contains some form of dairy and/or soy and daughter is allergic to both.

I just went to the movies last week and asked the manager, he looked at both the popcorn and "buttery topping", both were fine. I still ate too much though

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
