Now I have been gluten free for two years now and today I cooked myself a gluten free pizza on my own pan and I cooked my husband pizza rolls (with gluten) on his own pan. I cooked them at the same time in the oven. I am ill after eating. Could my pizza some how get contaminated?

I don't think you would have gotten glutened from having a gluten-pizza in the same oven as your gluten-free pizza. It's more likely that you accidentally touched the gluten and then the gluten-free or that crumbs from the gluten got on yours or something like that.

Probably more likely but equally spitting cheese etc. can cause CC.... if it lands on the gluten-free pizza....

Either way its not really ideal .... but just another of those to chalk up to sharing a kitchen...

Its really not possible to share a kitchen with gluten and not get CC from time to time... the amount and frequency depend on how much attention you can give it .. for instance cooking the pizzas seperately with the gluten-free one first would be less risk... not handling the pizza at all is less risk... and not having any gluten in the kitchen is less again....

Everyone should make their own choice but you shouldn't con yourself.... share a kitchen you will CC ...

yeah i make gluten food for my husband, and i KNOW even though I'm OCD about keeping things seperate, i've gotten CC from it before. it's just something that happens. lately i've been more demanding of him, having him put his own bread in the toaster, etc, and making sure there's none of my food out when he does, so that i don't even have to touch it.

      Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

      What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
