Gluten Free Breakfast Cereal & Chocolate In The Us

Hi there,

I'm from the UK & we are visiting WDW in May (which appears to be coeliac heaven!).

Just wondered if anyone could recommend some gluten-free breakfast cereal for an adult which isn't too sweet & is relatively healthy - can you get a gluten-free porridge (oatmeal?).

Also I'm a bit of a chocoholic & would love to know of some great chocolate that I can snack on.

And finally ....... does anyone know the nearest store to get Redbridge beer please? We're staying in a villa near Formosa Gardens (highway 192 - is the area Kissimmee?). The gluten-free beer & lager here leaves a lot to be desired, & I'm looking forward to trying Redbridge, as it's not available in the UK.

Thanks for your help

Kate

Can't help you with a specific store for Redbridge. However it is a Budweiser product and should be available at any good liquor store. I've also heard it is available at Wal-mart.

Hi Kate,

Don't know where WDW is, but I would recommend finding a Whole Foods store (or similar health food specialty grocery). They will have a good selection of gluten-free breakfast cereals, and probably the beer.

Also, if you know the zip code try:

Have a nice visit. best regards, lm

Dagoba chocolate and most Green and Black's Organic chocolate are gluten free. The dark is definitely gluten free and all Dagoba is too. You can get them at Whole Foods and other natural stores. EnviroKids makes some yummy cereals and Eerhown makes a good crispy rice cereal (make sure it says gluten free on front of the box.

I believe WDW stands for Walt Disney World. Just a wild guess on my part :)

I found Nature's Path gluten free/wheat free Corn Flakes are really good. They taste just like the regular corn flakes. They are sold at Wild Oats and since you will be in Florida, they should be around Orlando area. Also Redbridge beer is sold at Wild Oats. You could "google" Wild Oats before you arrive and see where it is. WDW is a very "gluten free friendly" place so they can probably help you while you are there.

Just went to WDW (Animal Kingdom) on Sunday. Terrific time. Can't comment on the service though. I went to a MCDonalds in the park which really wasn't that good. But it was fun!! Huge lines though. Fast Pass will save your life!! I went on MT. Everest and closed my eyes almost the whole time and kept on praying to dear Jesus! Wasn't bad at all when I had my eyes closed. Went on all the other herky jerky rides too. Hours after I rode the rides my back was killing me!! It still hurts!!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
