The 1st thing I did when I got to the Suffolk County Vendor Fair today, was go straight to the table where Celiac Specialties was set up. Donuts is probably the one thing I miss, and I heard there's were good. Well those people were not lying!! They are awesome.

I tried the Kinnikinnick ones when I was first diagnosed and hated them. But these are incredible. They tasted just like a gluten filled donut :)

Although speaking of Kinnikinnick, I tried their waffles today, which are incredible. Way better than Van's.

If you miss doughnuts like I did, these are wonderful.

Those donuts are good, they sell them at the gluten-free source in Dillsburg, they are pricey but worth it. People compare them to Krispy Kreme's all the time.

Lucky me--I work less than 5 miles from the celiac specialties bake shop...all of their stuff is great --most people go crazy over the donuts--personally I think their cinimmon buns are the absolute best thing ever--im also crazy about their pie crust!!

I work about 7 miles from Celiac Specialties. I'm in love with the soft sugar cookies. I haven't tried the donuts yet. I did try the pizza and the herb bread. They were okay.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
