I am offically psyched! I just had my fave wings from the The Wing Co in Camp Hill Pa. I went in today and talked with the girl at the counter and the cook. For those who have never been there, it's a tiny little hut, and they do mostly wings, with very vew other things. They have four dedicated fryers to just wings (tenders and onion rings are done in a seperate fryers), they make thier own wing sause that's vinegar and worchester based. No flour in sause or before they are fried! mmmm.. i think i covered all bases. I just ate them and I'm in heaven....mmmm.

I will keep you posted if I think i feel glutened from them... but I feel great right now!

Yay for marriage and Yay for Locals!

Have you ever eaten at Passage to India? I'm going there next week to broaden my eating out horizons.

I am such a bad cook, and have a very small kitchen, so I need eating out options!

No, haven't eaten there. I am so sensitive and have been glutened at every "gluten free" restaurant that I very rarely ever eat out. Its easier on everyone that way :). I think my mom has been there though, and loves it. Hope that its a great experience!

Man that sucks so much! I am new to gluten-free, so I am aware that I may get more sensitive as I stay gluten-free longer. I am finding more and more sensitivites... err.

Well I'll see how it is next week, i'm hoping for good times.

Nope, I'm going back up home for the holiday. Do some Grocery Shopping at Wegmans, check out the New shoppes at Montage, maybe even check out a Yankee game. I hate how Harrisburg has these neat festivals on holiday weekends when I go home to see my parents! Oh well...!

I love these wings, so crispy! There is a harrisburg location on Paxton St, but I went to the One on Trindle Rd in Camp Hill. I didn't get the Blue Cheese dressing because of Casien intol. I did also educate the girl a little bit, she has heard of celiac but wasn't sure. She was interested in understanding. Next time I am going to inquire more about the ingredients in ranch flavoring.

Hrm.. perhaps I will bring some info over to her next time I go!

It's been 4 hours and I'm still feeling pretty good, Usally If i eat something that doens't agree, I feel it 2-3 hours later. I also ate quite a bit of Celery and some pineapple, so they might give me some weird feelings, but so far...so good.

Harrisburg's 3 festivals are on every summer holiday weekend. I am heading north as well. we are going Friday and staying until Saturday. I want to check out the St Ubaldo festival in Jessup. Of course I stop at Wegmans, that is a must. :) I also need to get a premium book for the Wayne County Fair.

I am heading to the West Shore this morning, I saw a job over at our Wegmans and I want to apply.

I haven't been to St. Ubaldo's in years. Wasn't the most exciting in my opinon, but I was a teen then, and i'm not catholic.

Have you ever been to the GDS Fair? That's right in my home town. I enter Photos and sometimes baked goods in it. Never Did Wayne County fair, though I visit it every year! It's getting to be fair season! First fair season with Celiac, that will be fun (not!).

I was thinking about seeing what wegmans has job wise, if you got a discount that would totally be worth it.

Oh, and it's the next morning, and I feel great, so the wings were good to go!

(I just had mild wings in sauce)!

I really can't wait for the weekend!

If you not around this store, bear in mind that wings are really fairly easy to make your self at home, if you have a grill. I much prefer grilled wings over fried ones. Best made as follows.

1. Throw wings on grill.

2. Begin to prepare suace, unsalted butter and Franks does a nice trick, heat it on your stove top.

3. Once wings are 90 percent done, throw them in your sauce pan and let soak.

4. After 5 minutes or so throw them back on the grill and "dry them up" basically just finish off the wing so it is done.

I often double the above procedure, dunk them a couple times. Brining the wings first is nice too. Also like to add a few other more potent sauces in with the Franks Red Hot.

The above recipe, I some times back with the following quantitys for partys, 4 lb back of frozen wings, 1 lb unsalted butter, 16 oz bottle of Franks.(Though... any most party's I am making this for, I make around 4-5 times that amount. 20 lbs of wings....

I have never been to the GDS fair, I hear it is nice though. I think you do get a discount at Wegmans, all the more reason to work there. I buy lots of stuff there. I will do anything to not have to shop in a Giant. Now my mom loves Giant (Dickson City) There is only that one though in her area, and she has so many other options too. I can tell you about at least 6 Giant's in a 10 mile radius from our house in Hburg. Overload.

Have a safe trip today going north, we are heading there as well. I don't know when the last time you were there was but the construction on I-81N near Scranton is causing lots of headaches, we have been detouring on the turnpike at pittston.

Enjoy your weekend!

I know there is also a Giant in Green Ridge Plaza where AMES used to be. I personally love Shiff's you can't get everything, but what you get is good. Giant is totally overloaded in HBG, Mechanicsburg had 2 then of course the "Super Store" in Camp Hill.

Thanks for the traffic info, tonight i will be getting on 80 at hazelton to get to my parents though. That is the most boring road! Have fun yourself this weekend! :P

mmm.. they sound good. Why don't you make me some and bring them over here ;)

As of right now, we have no grill. And part of the excitement is that there is someplace I can eat at without cooking. I hate cooking! Half the time no time to cook, other half no space to cook.

mmm.. wings.

Thank you for the advice. I’ve actually never checked for nutritional deficiencies, but for as long as I can remember, I’ve always taken vitamin and mineral supplements — otherwise my symptoms get worse. This week I stopped eating gluten to confirm whether my symptoms are really caused by it. Starting next week, I’ll reintroduce gluten — it’s sad to go back to how I was before — but at least I’ll be able to take the necessary tests properly. I think the diagnostic process will be long, but at least I’m happy that I finally decided to address this doubt I’ve had for years.

I finally got rhe answer and Tylenol is ok. Thanks everyone

Hey Julie! I was in a similar situation before my biopsy and my gastro said Tylenol was fine. Just avoid ibuprofen or anything anti-inflammatory until you're cleared. Hope your surgery goes smoothly!

I don't see how cornstarch could alter the test results. Where did you read that?

For pain relief I take a combination of Thiamine (Benfotiamine), Pyridoxine B 6, and Cobalamine B12.  The combination of these three vitamins has analgesic effects.  I have back pain and this really works.  The B vitamins are water soluble and easily excreted.   Hope this helps!  Keep us posted on your results!
