I'd give it another week, potentially. I know its so hard to wait!

When you talk to them, ask them to repeat the whole celiac panel results to you.

They should have run the tests on this page:

Get each test name, your score, the reference range, etc. Then share :)

I just had my antibodies checked--the doctor said 5-6 days because they were specialized tests. I'm sure it's slightly different with different doctors/labs.

Definately give them a call if you haven't heard in a few days--sometimes they just get busy and forget to call.

My hospital sends out celiac testing to another lab, and it took 3 weeks for results. Depending on if you are from a city or out in the country, it may be a while. Hang tight. And remember, kep eating gluten - they may want a biopsy after the blood tests and if you aren't still eating gluten, it won't come out correctly. Good luck!

feeling very bummed -- got a call from my doctor who left a message and said i had to get back w/ them b/c they had my test results and some info for me -- so i was thinking -- ok, my test came back positive for celiac and they are going to tell me what to do next. i finally get in touch w/ the nurse and she tells me my iron levels are up slightly (been on iron pills for about a month for anemia), but my white blood cell count is down and they want me back in for more blood work in a couple weeks. i asked her about the blood work for the celiac panel and she said "what?" -- i don't think she even knew what i was talking about -- that was the whole reason i went in was for blood work for that testing -- so i repeated myself and said the blood work for celiac disease -- there was a pause and then "oh, ya that's ok" So now i'm asking myself, did they even do the panel or what?! i'm going to go in and get a copy of all my blood work so I can see exactly what they did.

i'm just really bummed b/c i was hoping for more than what i got -- i was supposed to go see a GI, but i think i'm just going to give the diet a try for a month and see if i feel any better. how long would you go on the diet before you start to notice results?!

sorry for the long ramble -- just totally bummed out!!! :(

I know what you mean. Before my two sons started college, I had them tested. I was adamant about having all 5 tests in the celiac panel done. I reiterated this several times and was told they understood. However, the hospital where the blood tests were done did not do the tests. They were sent off to another facility. When the nurse called me, she was apologetic and said this facility stated that if there was no indication of celiac, they would not run all 5 tests. This upset me too b/c I and my insurance are the ones paying for the blamed tests, not them. What right do they have to make that decision? <_<

About running blood work and other test I was told I don't know how true it is but it makes a lot of sence, that Dr. get rewards and kick backs if they hold the cost down and not run so many test. A lot of times they just wan't to run the cheaper test on you are may be not any unless you demand it . It is not aways in the best interest of the patient.

I've been diagnosed as intolerant - using the elimination diet - and waiting on blood panel results to come back, too. Been over a week, we'll see.

No, Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     I take both of these and a B Complex.

what Benfotiamine should I take as Life Extension contains both Ben and TTFD.
    • knitty kitty
I take both Benfotiamine and TTFD.   You might want to start with the Benfotiamine for a few days and then add in the TTFD.   You can look for NeuroMag (Magnesium Threonate).  A magnesium glycinate is fine, too.  Doctor's Best is a good brand.  Don't take more than 300mg total per day of magnesium or it may have a laxative effect.   Be sure to take the B Complex.  The Benfotiamine and TTFD will need the other B vitamins.

Life Extension Benfotiamine with Thiamine has 100MG of Ben and 25 of Thia..... Do you think this is the one I should take or Objective Nutrients Thiamax (TTFD) which has 100MG Thiamine. How much magnesium should I look for? I take the womens 50+ multivitamin since consumerlabs stated and tested that it has the right amount of vitamins and not too much for men and doesn't have BHT which has shown to cause liver cancer in animals. I was never big with multivitamins as well as doctors I just read when I was first going gluten free to take a multi but I think I will stop them and work on trying the super B Thia and Ben, Mag.

Hi all I’ve been celiac for 4 years now, I’ve done pretty well to avoid it thus far. Last night I took the wrong pizza out of the freezer and ate the whole lot!! The non gluten and gluten pizza boxes are both very similar.   2 hours later I was throwing up violently on my hands and knees over the loo.  .horrendous stomach pains,  My hair was wet from sweat every part of my body was wet. What an awful experience, just had a bad headache today  fortunately.    Is their any products/pills anyone takes if they have realised they have just been glutened to make the symptoms a little less worse.  thanks
