Hi

This is really funny

I made myself a total gluten-free sandwiche tonight before I came the work. I set it down on the kitchen counter and went to get dressed for work, while i was getting dressed decided to put my hair up and heard my husband rev up his motorcycle so I had to go let him into the Garage, at this time I totally forgot about my sandwiche that I was actually looking forward to eating and eat the dinner that I made at work. So when I finally got to the kitchen to dish out what I wanted to bring with me, I remembered my sandwiche, wasnt there, I asked my husband if he moved it he said no, and he asked me if I took it the bedroom with me because sometime I do that , I said no and he was teasing me about and said that I ate it :P . I said no because I am still hungry, I was not too terribly hungry to begin with, so at this time I looked down to my Boxer Tank which he was not interested in his meal because he ate my sandwiche I smelled his breath  and he did smell like mayonase alongwith other stuff  , so I just started laughing  you really cant get on to a dog when you didnt see him do the crime. I asked Tank if he ate my sandwiche and at that time he procceded to lick his lips and looked down, hes guilty :( . If any of ya'll have Boxers or know of one then you know how expressive there faces are and he had his look like ya mom I did it :P . My sandwiche constisted of gluten-free bread, gluten-free cheese and gluten-free lunch meat. I once somewhere that someone gave thier dog a piece of gluten-free bread and the dog spit it out welll not my dog and he is somewhat picky about people food when he does get it but this sandwiche to him was fabulous. so I am not to upset that he got something that might make him sick.

I hope he enjoyed it!!!

My dog loves my gluten free bread!

Our beagle, who eats just about anything, won't eat gluten free bread. Our mastiff will eat it along with anything else (shoes, the porch etc.)

Yea that cheese will do it every time. LOL My little dog now likes to take the bread and pizza crusts around the house and hide them, after he tortures the cats buy walking up to them with it in his mouth and then acting like they want to steal it. I have found bread in my bed under the covers, between the cushions on the chair, stuffed into my dirty laundry, in my shoes well the list goes on. I still haven't figured out if he thinks they are some great treasure, a toy or sometihng nasty to be hidden away.

No eating behavior compares though to the lab I had that could wolf down a full bowl of stew and leave every pea licked clean at the bottom of the bowl. He could also unwrap candies and spit the wrapper out unscathed. When the kids were little I blamed them many a time for sneaking candy until the day I caught him at it. Oh and the big lug would also steal ripe tomatoes off the vine and devour them. No peas but he would eat tomatoes.

I had a Golden Retreiver in highschool that one day my mom a whole chicken on the counter, she had to go to the store for something and when she go back the chicken was gone off the counter, we were finding chicken bones around the house for a long time after that. Her name was Sundee Spice Sensations the name was my sisters idea.

LOL!! I had a beagle that would eat anything! In fact if you asked her to do anything, even sit, unless you had food she would basically look at you like you had 6 heads. I'm not sure if she was painfully dumb, or really smar <_<

Funny, I actually know someone else with a boxer named Tank.

He is such a sweat dog I love him dearly, very gental loves to sleep with me when I am sleeping during the day after working at night, but he is just so big that I dont always invite him up on my bed. My husband thinks that he is just a big pansy, he is used to Pitts we have had 3 and all of them were more of a pansy than Tank. Now my husband wants another Blue Heeler since I have Tank as my dog he wants a blue heeler for him. Can you tell that there is some jelously going on Tank follows me everwhere i go in the house. All the dogs that we have had (long story) love me more than him ;) they all know who has the love and food MOMMA :lol:

It is more likely code for “we think there really was a good response to the treatment, but it was small or in a small percent of subjects so it would take a large clinical trial to try to prove it.”

Thank you so much for your replies. Luckily the rash went away when I completely swore off gluten. It took several months but I have not had a flare in months. So a biopsy is no longer possible. The itch was terrible and apart from bleaching my skin the steroid lotions and potions did nothing. The Gliadin is for accidents and shall be a part of my travel kit from now on. This past exposure has made a me a little leery about eating anything that was not cooked in my kitchen or a dedicated gluten-free restaurant. As much as I used to love baked goods, I am cured and have become quite the gluten free baker to the point that friends and family forget that my cakes/cookies/and bread are not "real". I guess I will have to wait for the new blood test to come out to get confirmation but I have a suspicion that the rash was dermatitis herpetiformis.

Hello, I just wanted to share with the frustration of skin issues and seeing dermatologist and medications not working for years, I did my own healing experiment. As of last week I have been taking a drop internally under the tongue of Vetiver and putting on topically on sores Yellow/Pom.I am seeing a extreme difference at a rapid time.Im also noticing my nails a little harder. Ive always been into natural properties because I feel its safer for the body.I know short time, but really seeing a difference. I also feel the the trapped gases that causes bloating helps break down as well.Curious if any body else can benefit from and has tried. Products is made by Doterra by Dr Hill

I agree with @trents, and the rash you described, especially its location and resistance to steroids, sounds highly characteristic of dermatitis herpetiformis, which is the skin manifestation of celiac disease. The severe and prolonged reaction you're describing five days after a small exposure is, while extreme, not unheard of for those with a high sensitivity; the systemic inflammatory response can absolutely last for several days or even weeks, explaining why you still don't feel right. Your plan to avoid a formal gluten challenge is completely understandable given the severity of your reactions, and many choose the same path for their well-being. While experiences with GliadinX (they are a sponsor here) are mixed, some people do report a reduction in the severity of their symptoms when taken with accidental gluten, though it is crucial to remember it is not a cure or a license to eat gluten and its effectiveness can vary from person to person. For now, the absolute best advice is to continue being hyper-vigilant about cross-contamination—buffets are notoriously high-risk, even with good intentions. Connecting with a gastroenterologist and a dermatologist who specialize in celiac disease is essential for navigating diagnosis and management moving forward. Wishing you a swift recovery from this last exposure. If you have DH you will likely also want to avoid iodine, which is common in seafoods and dairy products, as it can exacerbate symptoms in some people. This article may also be helpful as it offers various ways to relieve the itch:
