Anybody Have Experience With Mercout

The more I read the 'OMG' thread and The Lyme Disease Thread the more curious I have become about heavy metal toxicity. I have been gluten free for about 9 months. I do feel better, but seem to be having more and more food intolerance issues. So I feel like there's more wrong than just gluten. I do have silver fillings from long ago. I also used to eat tuna fish a lot. So the potential is there for me to have mercury contamination. I was doing some research on provoked urine challenge as it was suggested here as the best way to be tested for heavy metal toxicity. I found this site Open Original Shared Link I wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with this company. I would love to hear from someone who has experience with them.

I do not have experience with this company.

I had a six hour provoked urine test and was positive for lead and slightly for mercury. I am currently chelating and feeling better every day (also because of my Lyme treatment). My doctor is using Detoxamin because it was mainly lead that was a problem, stronger chelators are recommended for mercury.

I had my amalgams out (Open Original Shared Link) back in 1991 and felt immensely better after the treatment.

Here's an interesting video on amalgam fillings.

Chronic illness is never just one thing ... and heavy metal toxicity could be contributing to the problems you are having. It's all about restoring balance in your body so that you can return to health -- candida, metals, food sensitivities, bacteria, etc.

Thanks Carla for the response and information. Did your doctor perform the six hour provoked urine test? If so, what type of doctor. I really want to be tested for this and trying to figure out the best way to go about it.

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
