I can't bear to write this, but--Noah died earlier today. The funeral will be on Sunday.

If anybody has any advice what I can say to his parents that might actually be comforting, please let me know....

I am so sorry. I have been thinking of you all a lot the last few days and will continue to pray for all of you that you will find some comfort and peace.

It will be hard to comfort his parents. It is hard to know what to say or do but the most helpful thing I found during times of loss was when people just gave me a hug, told me how much they would miss them also and cried a bit with me.

:( I totally agree. I think that a hug, tears, and being sincere are the only thing that you can do for the family right now. Maybe later you could do something for Noah's school, the hospital, etc in memory of him.

How is your son doing? Such a young, tender age to have to deal with death. I'm so sorry for Noah's family and his young friends. I will be holding you all in my prayers!

I am so sorry, noah and his family will be in my prayers.

Just hug them and be there for them, and dont forget about them. They will need you more in a couple of weeks after all the numbness goes away.

Oh Alison, I am so sorry. I think in a situation like this, there really are no words....I would just be there for the family, hug and cry with them. Take cues about what may be needed from them.

I will be thinking of you all on Sunday.

My prayers are with you and your family as well as Noah's family.

Mine, too. I'm so sorry.

If you have any pictures of Noah, it would be nice to give the family. It will help them remember Noah's life, not the last few weeks.

Tell them that you are here for them and that you care.

My friend is fighting for her life right now in U of M. Bacterial infections have lead to sepsis, organ failure, surgical removal of the dead infected skin, and the amputations of both legs from the kneecaps and her hands. I really don't know what to pray for in this situation. She is in her thirties, has two children - the youngest is 2, and a husband.

Oh, mommida, I'm so sorry. Can you post your friend's first name so we can put a name with our prayers for her?

Everyone, thank you so much for your support and advice. My #2 son is very, very upset, understandably. We are all sad. And no, we don't have a picture to remember him by, and I don't have the heart to ask his parents for one. I was thinking of asking the Sunday School teacher if she has one she can copy for the whole class.

Christina Rogers.

They decided not to take her knee caps during the last surgery.

The patient they had two years ago with a similar situation is doing very well. His wife called to say he was shoveling snow!!? I don't know how much amputation he had, but what Dr.s can do with prosthetics for patients is pretty amazing.

With that, I have hope.

I hope you can find a picture of him. Do you think the kids would respond better with a balloon release with their special notes? Maybe in spring you can plant a memorial tree? I will being praying for everyone who has lost Noah.

Laura, thank you for the beautiful ideas. I will pass them on.

Am sending up a prayer for your friend Christina. For what it's worth, as long as she has her arms, she can hug her children--and they can hug her....

mommida Enthusiast

I asked her sister to pass that thought on to her.

But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
