Health Valley organic cream of chicken soup is gluten-free. It is the only one I know of that is gluten-free...

I use this in place of one can of cream of anything soup. It is not as easy as opening a can but the consistency is exactly like a can which I need when dealing with casseroles. Here is a link to the recipe.

My first time making my chicken & rice casserole without being able to use my beloved campbell's soup . . . I used Health Valley. I absoutely did not like it. It did not smell right to me and you know how much smell influences taste. I could not get past it and have not bought it since. Now I make may own . . . butter & flour mixed with better than bouillon (chicken), and condensed milk - cook until it thickens. It's a little runnier but then I cut back on my other fluids in my casserole.

Just looked at this link after I posted - yes, yes, yes . . . I would try this since I wing it a lot in the kitchen and don't acutually have quantities/measurements for you :P (I get that from my mother).

Open Original Shared Link cream-soup replacement recipe. I mix this up in snack-sized baggies and have it ready whenever I need to use it for a caserole. It is great.

Sorry, I think I got you mixed up with another poster.

I hadn't been eating gluten free before having the antibody test done. I started eating gluten free after having the test done because the gastro PA told me to eat gluten-free for 6 months. I'm now 3 months in.

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.
