Well we got our new puppy!

We actually picked him up a few weeks ago now, but I've had quite the month. Long story short, we got him on a Sunday and 5 days later I ended up in the ER and had my appendix out. Was released from the hospital a few days later then returned for a 2nd visit a day later due to severe dehydration and a near heart attack. Spent a few more days in the hospital. But I'm feeling all better now. Just one less body part and a few more holes. LOL!! ;)

Anywhoo, the point of this post was to introduce everyone to OSCAR!!!!

Good heavens, Jillian! I'm so happy to hear you're ok now--but what a time you've had.

Oscar is so adorable :D Thanks for the pictures. :)

Oh trust me that was the very, very abbreviated version. I normally love October, but it was a crappy month. LOL!!

Yes, I can just imagine...I'm sure it will take considerable time to get your strength back.

He is just too cute, what is he? I am sure he will help you smile a bit during your recovery, which I hope is swift.

Hi Jillian

Wow, you did have a busy month to say the least.....I'm so glad you are feeling better....

I love your baby!!! I raised Lhasa Apso's for over 30 years. These Tibetan guys sure are heart breakers, smart , silly, bossy & lovable... Is he in your bed yet?

Enjoy the puppy as they grow up to fast....

Hope you get back to 100% soon.

Welcome to the forum, @linnylou73! Are you claiming this based on a reaction or based upon actual testing?

Sams club membermark columbian coffee is either cross contaminated or the pods contain gluten

This varies a lot from person to person. I include foods that are not certified gluten-free but are labelled "gluten-free", while super sensitive people only use certified gluten-free. Both types of products have been found to contain gluten, so there are no guarantees either way: It you are in the super sensitive group, eating a whole foods based diet where you prepare everything is the safest bet, but it's also difficult. Eating out is the the most risky, even if a restaurant has a gluten-free menu. I also include items that are naturally gluten-free, for example refried beans, tuna, pasta sauces, salsas, etc., which have a low overall risk of contamination.

I avoid turmeric now because I'm on low dose aspirin, but used to use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HYBN4DJ My recipes always vary according to what I have on hand, but my base is a frozen berry mix from Trader Joe's: https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/fruits-greens-smoothie-blend-075603 In the warmer months I include herbs from my garden like Italian parsley and basil. I add almond milk as well.
