When The Speacialist Told Me To "google It"..

just wanted to share some uplifting news:)

quick catch up.. i had "severe acid reflux" & night sweats for 3 years..

diagnosed with celiac disease march 22nd 2007, "go home and google it".. ha

went gluten, soy & dairy free the 26th, nothing was relievd except for my "acid reflux".

on top of the night sweats, i started getting reeally bad anxiety, ibs, can't sleep, lost so much weight, you know.. the works:) welllll after just being fed up with being 19 years old and frkn dying i decided to go to a homeopathic doctor. i mean HELLO the celiac speacialist set me up with a dietician and said bye there's nothing more we can do for you, google it? um thank you. so i was willing to try anything. and soo glad i did.

so here's my story, helped me.. take from it what you will:)

when i went it to my new doctor, sick as ive ever been.. she tested my systems-- your body is made up of magnetic fields & she believes that imbalances indicate weakened systems & the problem, etc. because unlike the "speacialist" who didn't have a medicine to put a bandiad over my problems, actually knew to find the SOURCE of the problem-- our bodies were created to heal themselves.

welll my weakened systems were my LIVER, GALLBLADDER, & ADRENALS.

sounds crazy right? not really.

your liver and gallbladder are the organs that control digestionnnnn.

doctors say celliacs can't digest wheat and so on because of our faulty immune system? doesn't exacltly work for me.. now thiss i thought was a little more believable;)

anyways, my gallbladder was producing bile at such a slow rate that my liver couldn't function properly, etc & we all know how lovely those complications sound & can be right? well HELLO what do you think our symptoms are?! lOll uncureable does not=no big deal to me.

to make a long story short & wrap this all up..

your adenals is what controls the major part of anxitey, sleep, hot flashes, hormone things, etc..

well i'm still gluten, soy & dairy free.. i do aged cheeses & cultered things, and i've been on the homepathic supliments for my systems & i've been sooooooo much better, and even have days & weeks where i'm completely symptom free. she says there'll be a time soon when i won't even remember what it was like to be sick..

now i know i was a lot worse than most celiacs, my new doctor says i was "way under the rock". ha?;)

just like i said, take from it what you will

i believe our bodies were made to heal themselves & with the right personal prescription & god's grace we can beat this stupid, "incureable" disease

:]

I'm confused. How can you be "dairy free" and "do" aged cheeses?

Not trying to be argumentative, here. I'm just curious, since I suffer from night sweats myself. What is the specific diet you are following now? I keep thinking if I tinker with my diet I can get rid of these things. (Then again, I'm not 19; I'm 54 and menopausal. Maybe after eating the wrong things for most of my life, it takes time to heal.)

If it's lactose that's bothering you, then aged cheeses and highly cultured kefir and yoghurt are actually okay for you because the bacteria required to produce such things consume the lactuse that's in them. Probably just an error in wording lol

yess exactly! sorry:) once it's aged there shouldn't be anything in it that your body could be intolerant of

You (and your homeopathic doctor) could both be wrong in a way. I do believe that your adrenal glands, liver and gallbladder are not functioning right. But celiac disease is known to cause those problems, not the other way round.

If you were diagnosed with celiac disease, and being gluten-free has helped in getting rid of your acid reflux, then that was an accurate diagnosis.

I hope you don't think you will be able to eat gluten again after your adrenals and liver are fixed, because you'll undo the good you have done, and get sick again.

Celiac disease will NOT go away!

I have adrenal problems too, and have suffered from being very anxious and freaking out a LOT! I was just curious what the homeopathic doc suggested for helping the adrenals, so they can rest up. Thanks!

I hope you are feeling better! I know what it's like to be young and feeling like you can't do anything, and have no energy and are always sick. I started seeing a pediatric gastrointestinal doctor when I was nine!! Not one of my doctor's ever mentioned food allergies to me!! I finally figured it out from a magazine article when I was 24, then went to a doc and requested blood work. The rest is history! :P

Oh, OK. I'm casein-intolerant and I got excited there for a bit. Eliminating the lactose won't help. Oh well :(

Wheat flour is fortified with vitamins in the U.S. as a part of USDA policy. Gluten free facsimile products are not fortified. There is no government mandate for such. When you remove wheat flour by going gluten free, you may be removing a significant source of vitamins.
