Hey everyone. :D

Ha, our founder is out galavanting around the globe somewhere...something she said makes me think she has limited computer access or time.

I do have limited amounts of both those things <_< , but I need to place an order soon! I still have a lifetime supply of eye shadow and blush  , but my foundation is running low. I'm looking forward to being able to order from the new site. :)

And I'm here too. I've told myself that I need to get my checkbook balanced before I order anymore (LOTS of motivation!) but it's taking a while since I haven't done it in ages. <_<

I also can't wait to dig up the full ingredient list on those lip glosses... maybe I'll be able to use 'em. :o

And, finally, I'm trying to carve out a niche in my bathroom with a seat and a mirror for those days when I don't have enough energy to stand up for the time it take to put this on.

I'm still here, and check in most days. I am impatiently waiting for the new custom kits, and refuse to place an order until they are ready. I want all the new eyeshadows, and need to order a new sample kit.

Ditto for me!

OK, good, it sounds like the gang is all here, you are all just holding your breaths waiting for the new site to become fully operational, lol.

I got my order which was primarily just brushes, but I got the specials with it, so here is my review of these new colors.

1. Rasberry Sherbret - this is the one I was most looking forward to, and the biggest disappointment for me. It is nowhere near a rasberry color. It is more of a dark silvery-mauve with a lot of sparkle. On me it would look like a bruise that I tried to cover with gold sparkles. I think it might make a pretty eyeshadow, but I don't think I will use it as a blush.

2. Spring Clean - This is looks just pearlized grey to me. There might be just a tiny hint of pink, put mostly just grey. Again, maybe I will use it for the eyes.

3. Salon fun - Looks kind of to the salmon side of color in the jar, but goes on more plummy pink. It looks matt in the jar, but actually is pearlized. This one would have made a better "Rasberry Sherbret". I like the looks of this on my hand, and I think it will make a nice blush.

I also ordered the photo album blush. To me, this is similar to the Salon Fun, but it has more shine/sparkle and is not as deep a plum color. The weird thing is that the photo album looks much darker in the jar.

Keep in mind that I have only tested these on my hand. Also, keep in mind that I am a woman and I reserve my right to change my mind.

I have an mold problem in my house, and i have to get rid of it lol. All my money will be going to the problem, ughhhhh. But i am going to find money when the new site is launched lol

paula

Sorry to hear about the mold problem. That can be a real health problem, I hope you are able to get rid of it soon. It seems we can always find some makeup money when we need to, lol.

Well Maybe im glad i didnt get the special. I was kinda turned off when they never put pics up lol.

I love photo album, I have it in the large size lol. It is much darker in the jar. It is very pretty on, espceially after finishing dust lol

I really don't think you missed much on the special. I think photo album will become one of my favorites.

Wow, they have no idea what they are messing with there. Addicts can become violent when they can't get their fix, lol.

I cannot log in to the beta site at all today. It worked for me yesterday. Is anyone else having trouble, or am I the only problem child?

dlp252 Apprentice

I haven't tried the beta site yet today...

BUT I DID check my order status and the darned thing was delivered YESTERDAY!!!!! Is it on my desk?! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Fortunately it says who signed for it, and now I must hunt him down! :P

dlp252 Apprentice

Oh, and I forgot to mention that on Saturday I bought some Loreal Decrease that they talk about on the forums over there. It's a eyeshadow primer. So far it's been working pretty well, and hasn't made my eyes itchy or burn. My eyes DO look a little puffy but that could just be my health in general, lol. I have no idea if it's gluten free...guess I should look at the ingredients.

AndreaB Contributor

Donna,

Did you track down your package?

It would be a good idea to check ingredients on the other stuff. :P

dlp252 Apprentice

Yep, got my package! :D They brought it up not long after I posted...I guess they figured since I'd already left for the day yesterday they'd just bring it up this morning. Crazy guys...they just don't understand a girl and her makeup...even if it's all stuff she already has!

Can't wait to hear your reviews.

I can get on the beta site Colleen, of course it's several hours after your original post I see so maybe it was just down for a while?

No custom kits yet

I tried getting on last night to the link listed on the old site......beta.everdayminerals.com and it still has a security issue. Anyone know when that is supposed to be cleared up?

dlp252 Apprentice

Stupid work keeps getting in the way, lol.

Andrea I have been searching for the post from Carina about the safety of the new site. I knew it was safe, but wanted to find her exact post that describes why we're still getting that message:

info Says:

HI HAANA, #109

In regards to your problem getting to the site

AndreaB Contributor

Thanks Donna. :)

Cheri A Contributor

I haven't been in here for awhile. I just ordered another free sample kit yesterday. I was nearly out of my foundations. When the new site launches for real, and the bugs are all worked out, then I'll make a respectful order. :D

dlp252 Apprentice

Oooohhh....really liked the freebie they sent out "Raspberry Sherbert". Very nice sheer plummy pink.

Had a doctor appointment today with a doctor who only works Wednesday and Friday mornings, so I took the day off work and after my appointment decided to look at Nordstroms for some shoes, and since Sephora was so close, it was my DUTY to stop in.:P:rolleyes::ph34r:

I bought a heated eyelash curler!!!! I've been wanting to try one for so long, and, well, since I have an infection and have to be on antibiotics for a while, thought I DESERVED the eyelash curler. And I DESERVED the two lip glosses and two nail polishes too. I also DESERVED the little sample of tooth whitener. :P;):lol:

Thank goodness for that rather large insurance reimbursement I wasn't expecting. I DID use some restraint though....I DID NOT purchase the huge Sephora train case that I specifically went there to look at. :P

dlp252 Apprentice

Today's new color: Salon Fun

Very nice. A bit more pigmented than the Raspberry Sherbert and a bit more pink/red. It's still sheer enough though so that it's not harsh when you put it on. Also wearing one of the new lip glosses I got yesterday which looks very good with the blush, lol.

cruelshoes Enthusiast

The latest comments on the EM site say that the custom kits are available. Some people can see them but some can't. Add me to the "can't" team. :( Can you guys see them? I refreshed my page abou a dozen times, but still no custom kits.

confused Community Regular

I cant see anything either. I still get that the website is not secure also. Ughhh i want to shop lol

dlp252 Apprentice

Nope I can't see the kits either. Maybe it will just take a while to trickle through to all the servers/browsers etc.

AndreaB Contributor

I can get the page to load without overriding the security warning......but........now I get a javascript error of some sort. The option at the top of ie says "IE has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors"

EDIT.......I get the same certificate error and the page won't load after trying again copying and pasting the link (from the old site news instead of using the bookmark (from what Donna posted on page 142....which I've now deleted since it isn't working either). :(

I agree, it so often overlooked! I live in the UK and I have often wondered why doctors are so reluctant to at least exclude it - my thoughts are perhaps the particular tests are expensive for the NHS, so therefore saved for people with 'obvious' symptoms.  I was diagnosed in 2013 and was told immediately that my parents, sibling and children should be checked.  My parents' GP to this day has not put forward my father for testing, and my mother was never tested in her lifetime, despite the fact that they both have some interesting symptoms/family history that reflect they might have coeliac disease (Dad - extreme bloating, and his Mum clearly had autoimmune issues, albeit undiagnosed as such; Mum - osteoporosis, anxiety).  I am now my father' legal guardian and suspecting my parents may have forgotten to ask their GP for a test (which is entirely possible!) I put it to his last GP that he ought to be tested.  He looked at Dad's blood results and purely because he was not anemic said he wasn't a coeliac.  Hopefully as the awareness of Coeliac Disease spreads among the general public, people will be able to advocate for themselves.  It is hard because in the UK the NHS is very stretched, but the fallout from not being diagnosed in a timely fashion will only cost the NHS more money. Interestingly, a complete aside, I met someone recently whose son was diagnosed (I think she said he was 8).  At a recent birthday party with 8 guests, 4 boys out of the 8 had received diagnosis of Coeliac Disease, which is an astounding statistic  As far as I know, though, they had all had obvious gastric symptoms leading to their NHS diagnosis.  In my own case I had  acute onset anxiety, hypnopompic hallucinations (vivid hallucinations upon waking),  odd liver function, anxiety, headaches, ulcers and low iron but it wasn't until the gastric symptoms hit me that a GP thought to do coeliac testing, and my numbers were through the roof.  As @trents says, by the grace of God I was diagnosed, and the diet has pretty much dealt with most of those symptoms.  I have much to be grateful for. @xxnonamexx, There's labeling on those Trubar gluten free high fiber protein bars that say: "Manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts, milk, soy, fish, WHEAT, sesame, and other tree nuts." You may want to avoid products made in shared facilities.   If you are trying to add more fiber to your diet to ease constipation, considering eating more leafy green vegetables and cruciferous vegetables.  Not only are these high in fiber, they also are good sources of magnesium.  Many newly diagnosed are low in magnesium and B vitamins and suffer with constipation.  Thiamine Vitamin B1 and magnesium work together.  Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine has been shown to improve intestinal health.  Thiamine and magnesium are important to gastrointestinal health and function.

Welcome to celiac.com @sha1091a! Your experience is a very common one. Celiac disease is one the most underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed medical conditions out there. The reasons are numerous. One key one is that its symptoms mimic so many other diseases. Another is ignorance on the part of the medical community with regard to the range of symptoms that celiac disease can produce. Clinicians often are only looking for classic GI symptoms and are unaware of the many other subsystems in the body that can be damaged before classic GI symptoms manifest, if ever they do. Many celiacs are of the "silent" variety and have few if any GI symptoms while all along, damage is being done to their bodies. In my case, the original symptoms were elevated liver enzymes which I endured for 13 years before I was diagnosed with celiac disease. By the grace of God my liver was not destroyed. It is common for the onset of the disease to happen 10 years before you ever get a diagnosis. Thankfully, that is slowly changing as there has developed more awareness on the part of both the medical community and the public in the past 20 years or so. Blessings!

@EndlessSummer, You said you had an allergy to trees.  People with Birch Allergy can react to green beans (in the legume family) and other vegetables, as well as some fruits.  Look into Oral Allergy Syndrome which can occur at a higher rate in Celiac Disease.   Switching to a low histamine diet for a while can give your body time to rid itself of the extra histamine the body makes with Celiac disease and histamine consumed in the diet.   Vitamin C and the eight B vitamins are needed to help the body clear histamine.   Have you been checked for nutritional deficiencies?

I found out the age of 68 that I am a celiac. When I was 16, I had my gallbladder removed when I was 24 I was put on a medication because I was told I had fibromyalgia.   going to Doctor’s over many years, not one of them thought to check me out for celiac disease. I am aware that it only started being tested by bloodwork I believe in the late 90s, but still I’m kind of confused why my gallbladder my joint pain flatulent that I complained of constantly was totally ignored. Is it not something that is taught to our medical system? It wasn’t a Doctor Who asked for the test to be done. I asked for it because of something I had read and my test came back positive. My number was quite high. Are there other people out here that had this kind of problems and they were ignored?
