SNOW!? What in the world is that???

Yesterday, it was 78 degrees F and today 75 degrees and yet tomorrow it is to be 77 degrees. Talk about squashing the Christmas feeling. :( My daffodils are eight inches tall and the cherry, forsythias and dogwoods are budding out. Sheesh.... (makes sme wonder what we are doing to this good earth <_< )

I live just a few hours from Momma Goose and we're having the same weather. *sigh* My plants are trying to sprout up, too.

We watched Christmas movies in shorts yesterday afternoon!

Nope, not snow here....38 degrees and rainy....I see it is going to rain all week! Blah Blah Blah!

Ridgewalker Contributor

Paula, where do you live? We're all coming over!

I HATE snow!!!!!!!! Too bad that's all I see out my window!!!!!!! School's are all closed, roads nearly impassable... My husband is out in it, he is a service rep so he goes where they call him. This snow-every-three-days thing better quit by next Wednesday, we're flying to Tampa to meet our daughter coming from NYC for Christmas!!!!! If I can't get out of here I'm not going to be too pleased.

WE have about a foot here! Snowing on and off today. Thankfully next week is supposed to be cold but no snow. I'll be waking up to neg. numbers on sat!

I'm glad we didn't get this massive ice storm...be safe to all who did get it!

We keep having rain/snow ice here every few days....but I must admit the dreary weather is dampening the holiday spirits.

No snow here but lots of rain/ice. They closed schools here too, but I don't know why! The weathermen all said that the temps will drop and everything will ice over - but that didn't happen. <_< It's "supposed" to snow tonight - which I'd rather see than this ice - but I'll believe it when I see it!

Snow here in Wisconsin, but that's what it's supposed to do! We made a snowman and shoveled the driveway, but you couldn't tell that part!

I live for snow days! I'm a teacher (:

I had the day off too, I work in child care, we closed. We're 'sconnies too!! :)

78 degrees here today... and we're supposed to get sleet this weekend??? Bizarre...

The weather is strange anymore....when I was little it would get cold by the end of October and stay snowy and ugly until April....now it is still fairly warm until Jan. The last few New Years I remember wearing a light sweater.

Glad those who have the snow like it. I'd move in Momma Goose's area in a snap if I could.

Here in NJ (I am in city area, north eastern side of state - 45 minutes away from NYC) snow grinds everything to a halt. There's no where to put it when it's over a foot..every square foot of land here is a building...no empty spaces to dump snow. It creates multitudes of accidents because people here still have to go to work in it ....I only remember once the Governor declared a "snow emergency" after a blizzard in 1996.

Employers expect you to get to work at your normal time after 6 inches of snow....schools have delayed openings and if you have little ones employers in NJ don't realize that you can't leave for work until the school opens and you're kids are in school. That could be 11 AM. I've seen people get in trouble at work for this (a very very large, worldwide bank that prides itself on being good to their employees - PM me privately if you want to know their name). I never worked for a company that declared a "snow day." Jeez, they barely let you go home early if there's several inches of snow on the roads...I have co workers who have a normal half hour drive to go home and the employers wait so long to let you out that one of them took almost 4 hours to get home; the plows couldn't keep up with the rate of snowfall on the Garden State Parkway. I had a 15 minute drive turn into an hour that same day.

Anyway, I and my husband can no longer shovel snow -- so any accumulation is problemic for us....

This weather is starting to worry me. I am supposed to be going to get my mom to spend the weekend with us, now this winter weather tomorrow and again calling for it this weekend might cancel my plans...so disappointing...

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
