It's a shame that we can't contact him and let him know to be tested.

Why do you think that? You do know that he just had major heart problems a few months ago and has lost weight on purpose improve his health?

I guess it would be the paleness. KNowing I used to look just like him with no

heart problems.

I can't say he's in the best of health but he has lost a bunch of weight ON PURPOSE and he did have serious heart trouble. I don't think celiac is a consideration.

Can you imagine being in public office, having to eat at all those state dinners all over the world, and being celiac? The risks would be enormous. You would have to have a special chef travel with you at all times or risk being in some foreign hospital regularly.

I think it would be easier. They plan these things so well and everything would be alerted and taken care of. They also don't just serve the President anything when over seas. What if someone tried to harm him!

People would be more aware of the food he gets to make sure it doesn't contain anything he couldn't have. I think it would be easier because you would have so many people who are cautious. He probably would get the best tasting gluten-free stuff to.

      Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

      Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

      This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

      I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
