Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good multi-vitamin? My GI and doc have said nothing, nor advised on additional appointments or tests, even though my levels were through the roof. I have been trying to get a referral to another doc, but with no luck as the hospital system does not have any docs with experience treating Celiac patients. I cannot wait until January when I can change my insurance to a PPO.......

I lost 20+ pounds before I was diagnosed in a short period of time, so I know I was not absorbing nutrients, and I want to help my body get healty, so your advice is welcome!

Thanks!

I take Nature Made Multi Complete. It is gluten free (says on the label).

Good Luck -- hope things get worked out with your insurance/dr situation

I too, take Nature Made multi's. There are many vitamin companies that list the gluten status on their bottles now. You can also order from Lame Advertisement.com, they tell if the product is gluten free, I use Country Life vitamins from Lame Advertisement, some CVS vitamins are gluten free: type "gluten free vitamins" in your browser and see what you find!

Even though they are Children's vitamins, I take Yummi Bears multi-vitamin and mineral. They taste good, and they don't upset my tummy. Open Original Shared Link

Oh, one more thought. When I was first diagnosed, I had lost about 12 pounds and had trouble eating anything. All the vitamins I tried back then made me my stomach hurt. Basically, I was always nauseated. I used to drink an Ensure daily, to help keep my weight up and get some extra vitamins. It was a little easier on my stomach, and it really helped while my body was healing. Good luck - I hope you feel better soon.

I am a big fan of Kirkman Labs and Freeda.

When I visited my pharmacy I found i had been preceded by another Celiac who had prompted the pharmacist to do his research on gluten. Of the whole wall of vitamins the only ones he was able to verify as gluten-free was:

Jamieson Calcium Citrate

Jamieson Regular Vita-Vim

The take home message that I got from that exercise that any pill I might be offered in the future was very likely to contain gluten.

Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good multi-vitamin?

Thanks!

I found a super huge bottle from Costco that says "gluten-free" right on the label. I like the kids' chewable ones since the adult ones aren't vegetarian.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
