Gluten Free Gingerbread House- Help

I would like to try to make these this year. Has anyone got any experience with this? Or suggestions for a gingerbread recipe that would hold up to making houses?

Josef's makes a graham cracker that might work. They're small, so you'd probably have to ice 4 together for one wall, but it would probably work. Or perhaps a small village of tiny houses instead? Might be easier. LOL Sounds like fun...

Gluten Free Pantry has a mix, and Pamelas has a recipe on their web site using one of their mixes.

There are two bakeries selling premade house kits this year, www.thesensetivebaker.com and www.cakeartsupplies.com. Neither has them up on their web sites, but they are available via phone order.

Just to let you know, we did the Pamela's recipe for gingerbread cookies (not the houses.....yet) and made the cookies a little thinner than recommended. The cookie cutters we used were also pretty big, and the cookies were strong. You could easily build with them. They even have "blueprints" for the houses and recommended icing. I think, too, you could use the icing recommended for "gluten" gingerbread houses since normally icing is safe.

I just got my house kits from cakeartsupplies in the mail and I am super happy. They came individually wrapped with the ingredients listed on the outside (they used the Pamela's mix as a base) and assembly instructions. They smell divine even through the shrink wrap. I'm going to make them this weekend, I am super excited.

How much did these kits cost? Does it seem a better deal than attempting to do them yourself with Pamela's mix?

They were $13.50 each, plus shipping. It probably costs a bit more, but as far as time is concerned right now, its worth every penny to me. My favorite part is the building not the baking anyway.

Turns out they are completely sold out already. I guess they didn't count on the huge response. Hopefully they will do it again next year though.

I am no waiting for a biopsy but have read online that if your EMA is positive then that pretty much confirms celiac. Can't tell much from the raw score you gave because different labs use different reference ranges. Second, there are some non celiac medical conditions, some medications and even some non-gluten food proteins that can cause elevated celiac blood antibodies in some individuals. The most likely explanation is celiac disease but it is not quite a slam dunk. The endoscopy/biopsy is considered the gold standard for celiac disease diagnosis and serves as confirmation of elevated blood antibody levels from the blood testing.

      Hey there, have you been tested for allergies? You may not only have celiac disease but be allergic. I have celiac disease and am allergic to Barley, wheat and rye.
