Last night my DH and I ate out at Chianti Grill. This is an Italian Restaurant that totally "gets it". When we sat down we ordered the Redbridge gluten-free beer, the server didn't even blink and said would you like the gluten-free menu to order an appetizer or meal? We were totally surprised that we didn't have to explain or get a manager or the cook.

The menu had actual choices, not just well we can make it without... We ordered the most delish mostacolli with sausage and sauce and an awesome salad all gluten-free!!

What a wonderful experience!! Just had to share!

I'll have to check this out, too. I didn't realize they could accomodate gluten-free diners. My dd would love a gluten-free pizza out. And, I love living south of the river.

Cheri, you have my sympathy. And I didn't realize that they had internet out there in the boonies. . . .

Pizza Luce gets quite busy on gluten-free Days, so make a reservation if at all possible. Or you can carry out, too. If you're coming from far away, make a stop at Cooqi while you're at it and get sine desserts-- it's only about a few minutes from the St. Paul Pizza Luce.

PS: My favorite is the Spanish Chicken pizza. YUM!
