Black Specks In Pee, Following Pain

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to place this under, but I'm pretty worried right now. It started Saturday afternoon, randomly got jabbing pains in the mid-stomach/back, slightly lower than the gall bladder. Then the pains disappeared, and I noticed a lot of garbage in my pee. I had a similar attack yesterday (Sunday), again the sharp pains, followed by nothing, and this time i seen a black speck on the bottom of the toilet after I peed. Again today, same process (but not as severe pain). I used the pan to collect and again noticed something black.

I asked all my friends who had they gall bladders removed, and they all said even at their worst they never passed gall stones, so that makes me now certain it can't be them.

Might this be kidney stones instead? Should I go to see a doctor?

Everyone on this forum knows I have a very high pain tolerence, so it's not an issue of not being able to handle the pain, I just dont want to make things worse (if they could get worse?) by not gtetting checked out...

Yeah, I would get it checked. It could be something related to the kidneys. Hope you feel better soon!

I honestly did not get the chance to go in today. So I will tomorrow... I've been peeing in the collection pan and earlier this afternoon it looked like someone sprinkled fine-grained sand into it. Just now I spotted some of the 'sand' again, plus a tiny brown blob that looked hairy (but big enough to notice). I've also been having some serious nausea and have been feverish all day. It's horrible, I hate getting new problems for the first time =(

Are you still collecting and are you going to take it with you to the doctor? They might be able to run some tests to see what the "sand" is. I wonder if you might have kidney stones or an infection of some kind.

This needs to get bumped to the very top of your priority list. Kidney infections can become very serious very quickly. It either needs to be dealt with ASAP or eliminated as the problem and whatever is causing the problem needs to be found. Nausea + fever + passing something in the urine is not a good combination.

If you can't see your doctor soon, go to an ER or walk-in clinic. As another member said, this IS a very serious condition. Sounds like you're unfortunately having complications of a kidney infection (the fever, nausea, and pain you said you've been having are huge indicators). Are you experiencing any other symptoms, such as pain/pressure in your lower back?

I hope you feel better soon!

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
