Finally Found A Decent Bread

Food for Life multi-seeded rice bread.

I discovered I have an intolerance for wheat a few months ago, tried some kind of tapioca bread and could not eat it. It was awful! I had to throw the whole loaf away and I felt bad for spending the money on it, so I just didn't buy any other kind for a long time. But yesterday I finally decided to try another. This one is really good, I will definitely buy it again.

Does anyone else like it? What are your favorite breads?

That does sound good I'll have to see if I can find it. I like Kinnickinnicks Italian bread. It has a good texture to it and doesn't crumble like some of the others I have tried.

Udi's whole grain :D

I second Udi's Bread! It's awesome! I actually order ten loafs at a time on line & freeze them.

Even my non-celiac hubby likes their bread! :)

Schar, thanks that was the name I was trying to remember. They just got these at the local market. Bread, pizza crusts, rolls. They're expensive there though. I was sort of debating, decided to try the Chebe mixes first since there is one place here that has them, but those pizza crusts did look interesting.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
