The Weirdest Thing!

Hi all. So, yes I know this is going to sound flat out weird, but we talk about everything so here goes: for the last two days, I have been getting this very strange sensation that feels like an intermittent internal vibration. It's between my hip bones, so I am thinking it's intestinal in nature.

When I put my hands over that area, I can't feel anything from the outside. What in the heck is this? It's happened about 20 times today. It will "vibrate" off and on for a few minutes, then go away, then come back later. It's the strangest thing.

I am one year gluten free, btw. Thanks!

Janie

PS. I sure do hope this isn't one more thing that makes me extra special

Yep, you're special. :).

Is it all the way across or in a small area? I'm assuming it's not a baby. :) Is it like a twitchy muscle? I get those sometimes in other places and it usually means I need some potassium. Did you exercise differently or move furniture or something? Pulled muscle is all I can think of. I'm sure others will come up with something more interesting.

RoseTapper Newbie

Ummm....yeah, I was thinking a baby. Is that possible? They usually do a fluttery thing several times an hour...

Wolicki Enthusiast

Ha, that's funny. No, no baby. It's not like that fluttery feeling, it feels like a pager is going off in my belly. Right smack in the middle, between the pubic bone and belly button. Ooh I just dated myself didn't I? Some here wont know what a pager vibrating feels like  OK so for the younger folk, imagine your cell phone on vibrate.

I always knew I was special

Haven't done really anything different. Doesn't seem like a pulled muscle. Saturday we went on a 4 hour bike ride, but that's not much longer than usual. The weird feeling started on Sunday.

bluebonnet Explorer

i've had that before! it could be "trapped" gas, but a 4 hour bike ride can effect nerves and muscles for sure so i'd also think it could just be spasms from that. :)

Wolicki Enthusiast

Oh, phew! Thank you for your reply. Just knowing someone else has had it is a huge relief! There have been more than a few things that I have had that no one else has ever experienced.

No weird vibrations this am so far! Thanks a bunch.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
