Traveling And Frozen Foods.

We're driving up to Kansas for the holidays and I'd like to take some frozen donuts, maybe some bread as well. How long can they be left out of the freezer?? Are they really that perishable? The drive will take a good seven hours before we reach the hotel and a fridge/freezer.

I really don't want to pack an ice chest. Space is limited in the car as it is.

Can they be kept in the fridge once they're defrosted? I would think it'd be fine to bring them along and pack them together in a bag in the car and then just pop them in the fridge once you're there.

I travel 15 hrs to get to KS and visit home! So, lucky you, lol! I would say that this is the time of year you shouldn't have to worry too much about keeping something cold enough. Put it in your trunk and in a place that doesn't cover and insulate them and they should be fine. I wouldn't think they are THAT perishable! Have a nice holiday and my prayers for safe travels.

Yes, they are going right into a fridge upon arrival. I think they'll be fine, too. I didn't even consider the cooler weather. That should help.

I'll have to take my chances either way. Can't imagine being around the gluten filled goodies all day and not having something sweet for myself. I'm such a sugar addict!

Thank you for the prayers! I'm a nervous nelly on road trips, especially if I'm not the one driving. Hehe.

Not sure why you want to come here to Kansas. It's very cold and they put a picture of wheat on the liscense plate. But, if you insist....just let me know when you plan to visit. :)

Haha. Well, it's the in-laws turn to have family out for Christmas this year, and that's about the only reason we're going up. I lived there for three years and still own a home in Junction City. Needless to say, I was happy to move away from the snow and tornadoes!

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
