Ive been using ultrase and it has really helped with my overall digestion and the fullness/bloating after meals. problem is AxCam Pharma (the maker) temporarily took it off the market and now i cant find it anywhere. i tried Creon which is a similar product but it gave me horrible bloating. anyone know where to get ultrase or something comparable that wont cause the side effects?

Hi Jason,

I am using Digest Gold by Enzymedica right now. No allergens or sucrose, yeast or fillers. I ordered them online. It's expensive, but most digestive enzymes are. I believe it has helped me quite a bit with digestion and breaking down foods, particularly raw veggies, etc. Don't mean to be too graphic, but I used to pass undigested food in loose stools and now, I have normal BMs without large food particles in it. (and hey, that's a cause for celebration to me :>) I have only been gluten-free for a month and I also take probiotics. Not sure if it will be compatible with your digestive system? Just offering a thought here..Ginny

I second the use of Digest Gold.....they are about as good as digestive enzymes get. Along with the use of probiotics, my GI tract is a happy camper these days!

ok ill try- thing is i cant tolerate the high doses so i will have to split the capsule- thats what was nice about the ultrase...each cap is full of tiny nuggets and i found all i needed was 4-5 nuggets. also a lot of enzymes give me bad colon spasms but ultrase didnt so im reluctant to try another products but i guess i have no choice

I understand totally. I have had more trouble "trying things" myself, I just cannot tolerate them, but this brand has really helped me and I have not had any bad reactions. Maybe you should read about it online first. It gets high reviews from consumers.

I hope it helps you!

Has prednisone or some other systemic steroid been tried that might quiet her immune system down for a while? I have two acquaintances with Lyme's disease. It is a wicked condition that has long fingers.

We have.  She is so limited as to what she can eat.  She has a nutritionist, but they are even at a loss.  Right now, her pain is so significant that she can only eat 5-10 bites a meal.   We just got some labs back today and she is hypoglycemia, anemic and her immune system is shot.  She also is positive for 3 tickborne illnesses.  Thanks for your help!

A much better suggestion than that of the new doctor!

Have you considered putting her on the autoimmune protocol diet?
