Are Mouth Ulcers More Common With Someone Who Has Dh?

I'm pretty sure me and at least one of my daughter's has DH, my other daughter gets a rash but it's a little different so not sure about her's? I get it on my jaw line, hair line, and back. I also get mouth ulcer's which are a pretty good sign of a decent exposure for me. I'm wondering if ulcer's are more common with people that have DH?

I can only speak from experience. In my family, my son and I have DH, and my daughter (who doesn't have DH) has mouth ulcers.

I think the mouth is an interesting area when it comes to gluten intolerance. I got head to ankle DH in June. Now it is mostly torso to hands. I've always been itchy/scratchy since I remember.

I got one mouth ulcer in July when I wasn't as strict as I need to be.

I don't have any particular mouth/dental issues.

Never been a problem for me.

I don't know about just with DH, but my mouth ulcers disappeared when I went gluten-free.

Thanks everyone! I definitely know my ulcer's are connected to gluten, just wasn't sure if this was more common with people who have DH. Thanks! :)

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
