  1. That is so nice of them. I've recently being trying to go gluten-free again after to long of been really bad. One of my friends has sent me recipies, info and websites, that she says she has been given or accidently come across. I'm not sure if she if this was the case or if she looked for them delibratly, but its nice that shes been so supportive.
  2. Hey. I know this has been mentioned before but I am going to say it again. If you are travelling to another country please read the ingredients on all chocolates/lollies even if they are safe where you are from. For example while m&ms are gluten-free in the US they are NOT in Australia. I think they use wheat starch in the shells. I am fairly sure...
  3. I choose the first one. I was thinking that maybe I had a little dairy intolerance but think its just really cold things rather than the dairy. When I was diagnosed we were told that oats had gluten, for this reason I've never eaten them in great quantities, so I guess I could be allergic to them but not really an issue.
  4. Do any of you know if the chai teas and iced coffe /chocolates from the coffee club are ok? Also are what about drinks from other places?
  5. I think that here in Oz they would have to state if it was from Wheat. If you could post or pm what you find out about food labeling it would be grately appreciated as I am also slightly confused. I just love compinies who put gluten free on their label even if tho its not a gluten-free speciality product.
  6. PLease post! I'm an Aussie and while that particular meal doesn't appeal to me the mioght have other meals? (lol Im qld btw)
  7. I can't help you there, I live in Australia. You could try a web search for the company tho, some places have ingredients and allergen statements on there websites.

  10. As someone who had been very very bad for the last four years I am trying hard to be good. I've had no major gluten since sep 23 wich was half a piece of toast. Note the worrd major, I am quite good at home however when I have been out I've had a few sauces and desserts that I shouldn't have. So basically to stop myslef from eating I just gradually reduced...
  11. You sound so much like me, it takes me like 1-2 hrs to fall asleep. I have been this way all my of my life. Like you said I can be really tired and as soon as lay down and try to sleep I start thinking about anything and everything or feel wide awake. However once I do finally get to sleep I usually stay that way. The only time I would fall asleep within...
  12. I actaully don't like the term Disease, I always think of a disease being something catching. If I'm telling someone I just say I've got celiac, so I cant have gluten. It also annoys me that the list the treatmeant as just following a gluten-free diet, Imo a treatmeant means it will go away, managment would be a more appropriate term. I can't imangine...
  13. Hey I really didn't know where to put this so If its in the worng spot- please move it for me. I don't get a reaction if I only eat one piece of bread(or 2 or 3 for that matter as long as it not all in the one day) I have also heard that one of the symptoms can be itchy skin. Basically a few years ago I was eating these cruskit things that had...
  14. This isn't reallyabout the server being ignorant but it fits in best here. Ordered a meal from Maccas last week. I said to the guy that I needed the burger without the bun. He said ok and then had a really confused look on his face and repeated no bun (more to himself than me) Thinking he thought I was very odd, I replied, yeah I'm allergic to the bun...
  15. I noticed you said you went to a naturopath many years ago. I don't recomend you do this for a celiac diagnoses as I have heard that they can often, However I have not heard much info about it for a few years , so this may have changed. I did know of someone who was told by a naturopath that they had celiac, however they were also told that if they didn...
  16. Hey guys. Just thought I'd let u all know that woolies choc milk has malt in it. I discovered this after I decided to read the ingredients AFTER consuming most of it. So ticked off as I was trying hard to be extra good after the maccas sundae I had the other day. Why did the one thing I didn't check the ingredients of have ot have malt in it?!
  17. This is where I am very lucky, I won't get sick from it I would have to drink about 100 litres of the milk. This can sometimes be a bad a thing as this makes it possible for me to get glutened when Im out and have no way of knowing, though I try to stick to stuff that is gluten-free. Up untill 2 months ago I was haiving 2 gluten-free days a week, I could...
  18. Hey Guys. I've notcied people starting threads for when they gluten themselves, so I thought why not start one for everyone to post. I've managed to gluten myself two possibly three times since Friday. 1. I did it delibrately, had a caramel sundae from Maccas, was intending on being extra extra careful for a few days after this. 2. Yesterday I glutened...
  19. Hey what pudding are u talking is it a specific woolies brand? Or are you talking about the simple brand ones? I've tired the simple brand before. Anyway plz let me know!
  20. Anyone tired the Break Bars? They are AMAZING they taste like a kit Kat! Here in Australia Glutino is not that common but I am lucky enough to have found a store that stocks a few of there products. Have any of u tired there savoury biscuits, they come in a about a set of 3/4. Franceen- Unfortunately it is a rare thing to find a product that does taste...
  21. Just me again. Have any of you guys seen the Glutano break bars? I swear they taste like a kit kat. Im not sure how common the brand is in the health food shops here, there is only one in my area that stock them. The bar did cost $3 but honestly if you are lucky enough to ever come across I reccomend buying it. It falls under the catagory of "Hmm...
  22. Hey Justin. For the last four years I have been cheating way to much, however unlike you and the many other people on this board, i have to eat a lot to get ill. However about two months ago I made the decision to stop this. I had tired a few time in the last few years to stop cheating but I failed and think that was because I just completly stopped...
  23. Hi. I was diagnosed when I was 6. I don't get big reactions, so when I was about your age I started to eat gluten and a lot of it untill 2months ago. Part of the reason for me was that I thought hey I'm only young it wont happen for years etc. However now that I'm 19, I have matured and realised that I need to stop eating gluten to prevent something going...
  24. Kinda off topic here but has anyone tired the Glutino break bar? It tastes just like a kit kat! Its so good that I checked the labeling again just make sure I'd read it correctly. I think I'm really lucky to get them, as I know of only one health food shop in my area that get them in (It don't think it is a common brand here in Aus) I also wanted to as if...
  25. Hey guys, I bet all you smart cookies already know this but just in case you don't. Make sure that you check the packaging of FREEDOM FOODS biscuits. Not all of them are gluten free. I picked up a packet of the blueberry bliss ones only to discover when I got them home that I can't eat them.
