  1. You could just add a charm to your Tiffany. Try this site: Open Original Shared Link They have quite a few nice options, and you can order just the charm with no chain. They also offer a membership to www.myomr.com, which is an online medical registry. My dd's and i all have med id's (the traditional kind) and a small tag hangs off of them with the website...
  2. You should call them back and speak to a manager/supervisor, or email their complaint department if they have one. I totally agree with you about the fact that it is easier for us to ensure our food is safe, but medicine is nearly impossible to check out!
  3. Mirrors, light colors, not too many pics on the wall all come to mind. Maybe even knock down a wall or two if possible (depending on the floor plan and if you own or rent).
  4. I also went to the Cadbury site. When I got to the page with the gluten-free status, it was from the UK. So it wasn't talking about the American Eggs. So, does anyone know about the caramel and chocolate eggs? I love those.
  5. I know this has been discussed before, but maybe someone new out there has some experience. I am considering buying a grain mill like a Wondermill or a Nutramill. But I am hesitant because I really like using fine flours from the Asian stores. I am worried that these mills will not grind the rice to a fine enough texture. But I have to go out of town to...

    ARCHIVED Hypotyroidism?

IMO, you really need to make sure you do lots of follow up about the lack of urine. That is not normal, even for someone who is constipated. After you get his constipation under control, you should keep track of how much urine output he has. You could also try the Miralax stuff to help his constipation, along with the suppositories. I haven't used it...

    ARCHIVED Irving, Texas

Yep, send her to Laura's Bistro. It is in Plano. If transportation is an issue, the train and then a short bus ride will get you to the place. It is will worth the trouble. Just google Delicious n fit, plano, and you will find it!
  8. Your family will be in my thoughts. I hope he recovers soon. (((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))
  9. It sounds like it could be DH. I didnt develop a skin rash (unconfirmed DH) until after I went gluten-free. I haven't taken any meds w/ Iodine in it, but Iodine on my skin caused a pretty bad rash. Lots of people say that the rase usually gets worse before getting better since your body must get rid of the gluten that is built up in the body. It could take...
  10. We had to come to Dallas for a family thing, and last night we ate at a restaurant called Laura's Bistro (or Delicious & Fit). Everything there is gluten-free and they cater to any food allergies. I had a real cheeseburger, my dh had chicken fried steak, my dd had chicken noodle soup, and my other dd's had chicken strips and fries! It was so awesome!...

    ARCHIVED Hypotyroidism?

I am having about the same problems as you are. I have had my TSH tested and it is around 3.5, but my dr won't treat me, even though I have alot of symptoms. I am switching dr's right now, and I see my new one on the 18th. I am tired of my current dr giving me the runaround. You can print up the new guidelines from the Endocrinology assoc. and take that...
  12. No, I haven't been tested for Pernicious Anemia. What kind of testing do they have to do for that?
  13. I just wanted to update you guys. The MRI came back negative. My dr suggested that maybe I was anemic and I needed to take a multi-vitamin. Needless to say, I am switching dr.s I have an appointment with an Osteopath/Family Practictioner on the 18th. Hopefully, I will get some answers. I am going to write up a list of ALL my symptoms to take to him...
  14. Couldn't have said it better myself!!
  15. Thanks for all the support guys! That really helps me feel better. I went to the dr yesterday. He wanted me to go to another eye dr that works at my insurance companies clinic and have them dialate my eyes and check them. I told him that I didnt want to and that I trust the dr I went to see. She did a very thorough exam, and I wanted an MRI or CT scan...
  16. I am going in on Friday morning. They are completely booked until then. I will push him to do a CT scan or MRI to check everything out. I will update you all when I know something. Thanks for all the support!
  17. Hey everyone, My eyes started getting blurry this morning off to one side, so I called my dr's office since it wasn't the first time. They told me to get my eyes checked out first at the eye dr's. So I did. The eye dr dialated my eyes, and discoverd that the blood vessels in the back of my right eye are very tiny. My eyes were just dialated last year and...
  18. Have yall ever watched American Haunting?? That is a great show if you want to get freaked out! It is on Discovery or Discovery Health. I love it!
  19. Sorry, I just have to vent my frustrations somewhere! Friday night, I wound up in the ER because I had a REALLY BAD headache, and my neck was hurting. I was dizzy, lightheaded, and just felt horrible. So my hubby took me in. First off, the nurse is just acting like I am faking or something. I was obviously crying from the pain, and she asked me if I...
  20. Yep, we just watched that one (for the 100th time I think!!) today on the HM marathon. My dd's smile every time they hear that line. Then one of them says "but all marshmallows are gluten-free!!" They think it is just funny to hear gluten-free mentioned on their fav show!
  21. I am so sorry to hear about this. I know what you mean about "Why do the good die young." Sometimes it just doesn't seem fair. You guys will be in my thoughts.
  22. I am sorry to hear about this. Just to make you feel better, I had several polyps removed from my colon several years ago (I was only 24) and everything is fine with me, except my celiac! Some of them were precancerous, though. So I have to have a repeat colonoscopy every few years. Since then, there has not been one single polyp! I just figure that the...
  23. I did a search, and couldn't find much. I want a recipe for bread that is like the gluten-free Pantry's. It is so good, and my kids love it, but we can't afford it! We have 4 kids, and I can't keep this bread around! I have given up on my other recipe because I jsut can't make it work. So, does anyone have a recipe that calls for: white rice flour, brown...
  24. yep, Alimentum does smell horrible. But my dd really liked it. And after a while, you get used to the smell. One major plus is it won't stain clothes!! Also, the powder stuff contains corn and the ready-to-feed doesn't. My dd couldn't handle the powder, but the RTF was fine. Just be careful because Allimentum still contains milk protein, it is just broken...
  25. It sounds like an egg allergy/intolerance. I do that when I have too many eggs. It tastes HORRIBLE . I burped for about 2 days, and it finally went away. I can handle a small amount of eggs, but something like scrambled eggs really upsets my stomach for days.
