Eating out also needs to be addressed. If you don't want her to eat out make sure they know. You could also send printouts of gluten free menus from various restaurants with instructions on how to order if you are comfortable with this. -

IMO no food is worth eating if it makes me sick. Based on your description gluten makes you sick. Your choice is to eat gluten and get sick or stay gluten free healthy. Listen to your wife and your body. -

Check with the company that makes PrimaCare One. If the information is not on the website call them. Another option is to look for a prenatal vitamin that you know is gluten free. I only buy vitamins that say "Gluten Free" on the bottle. Costco has a prenatal that I believe is gluten free. Check the back of the bottle. Also, look at Nature Made vitamins... -

I only use natural peanut butter (nuts and salt only). I also have my own jar which no one else uses so it can not be contaminated. -

I would toss hot dogs and baked beans in microwave oven. Another alternative is to cook in the morning when it is cool and reheat in the evening for dinner. -

I agree with the other posters. Keep your diet to simple natural foods for now, avoid starchs soy and dairy for now. Gluten free starches are higher in carbohydrates than gluten starches. After you have been gluten free for several months and have your blood sugar under control you should be able to start adding starches, soy and dairy back slowly... -

I very rarely bake and only cook on the weekend. I cook meals and make sure I have lots of leftovers on the weekend and eat them for lunch and diner throughout the week. Cara, If you fly to Canada you can precook and freeze meals in single servings. I do this. I freeze the meals in plastic containers from the Container Store ( Link at end of post). In my household we have a sandwich making station outside of the kitchen. It includes an apartment size refrigerator (I think it is about 15 cubic feet). I use only cat food that is gluten free. I use the micorwave at work but only with the food/drink covered and a new papertowel underneath. I only cook gluten free. My son and husband are not gluten free. Gluten bread, muffins, and cookies are bought at the bakery. Gluten pizza comes from the pizza parlor. All gluten products are kept outside the kitchen. -

No clue if gray hair is related to Celiac or not. My grandmother was completely gray by 25, my mother by 30. I am the one with Celiac and I did not start getting grey hair until my late 30's. I am 50 now and still only about 30% gray. At least in my family there is not a relationship. -

As long as the food is solid it's ok. DON'T bring liquid or gel like substances. No drinks, pudding, yogurt ect.... I put it in a soft sided lunch box in my carry-on.
