  1. I have seen that but it's not available in my area. I think the breaded meat is from allergy free foods, but I could be wrong. ETA: It is. They have a link on their website. I have not tried their meats, but the cornbread is delicous! We also like their faux cheeses and while I like the gravy, you do have to add broth so I might as well just make...
  2. Yep! Gluten is not a problem for me but I do have food allergies. Took me a while to discover this. I have diabetes so I have to watch my carbs. I ate a lot of cottage cheese for breakfast but couldn't always find the kind I wanted or I just got sick of it and wanted a change. So I would eat boiled eggs. We were living in NY at the time and my daughter...
  3. If you are drinking regular soda pop, it probably contatins high fructose corn syrup! Can you eat potatoes? They can be made in the microwave, crockpot or even fried with eggs.
  4. Before I knew of my dairy allergy, I would dump a can of chopped tomatoes in a small casserole, sprinkle with Italian herbs (now you can buy them already seasoned), smother with shredded cheese and put in the microwave. Tasted like pizza.
  5. It can not be because it is processed with barely. Now they do test it to see how much gluten is in there. I have had it where it says less than some percentage of gluten in it. I have never seen it say gluten free.
  6. I buy a lot of my gluten-free stuff from this site right here! I buy Ener-G bread straight from them.
  7. Yes, but they could add something to their line that *is* gluten free. Fruit snacks are just one example. I know they sold nuts and/or a fruit and nut mix some years back on the east coast.
  8. The problem with that is that sugar is not the problem for diabetics, but carbs. Most sugar free things are just as high in carbs as the real thing. And most sugar free things contain sugar alcohols that have can have a laxative effect. The people who put out sugar free things are hoping that our friends and family will be stupid enough not to know this...
  9. I don't know how to make fried rice that we can eat since we can't have soy or eggs. And we really don't like stir fry. There is a microwave. That's not a problem.
  10. I didn't know Chef Boyardee made such bowls? I will look for them but it's likely they have one of our allergens in them. As for the deli meat, I don't much like it and there are no gluten-free crackers that travel well that she will eat. She likes the Schar, but they crumble too easily. The others all seem to have allergens in them. ETA: Can't do...
  11. I like all of those things. Alas, my daughter will only eat the soup.
  12. The only hummus I hesitate to buy is the stuff on the cold food bar at Central Market. It's right by the wheat bread.
  13. I would take my own chair if there were some place to put it but there isn't. I did think about Thermoses, but they are heavy and the ones we have don't hold very much food. That's why I thought the microwave might be a better deal.
  14. Daughter just started her dance classes at the new studio and I am going to learn to hate it! She dances two days out of the week. One day she has back to back classes right after school. I pack her some snacks and pick her up at school. Seems timewise we get there with a little time to spare before her first class begins. She has two back to back classes...
  15. Does anyone know if PCC Natural Market in Edmonds WA carries these? I see that the other PCC's do but it doesn't list that one. Due to an egg allergy, we can't have their other things but we could have the tortillas. I wouldn't want to mail order just those.
  16. Dr. Chaffee. He has an office in Edmonds and a new office in Mill Creek. Open Original Shared Link
  17. I can't have chocolate because of GERD. Does a real number on me! I find every once in a while I can eat it and it's fine, but mostly no. I got over it.
  18. I've never actually made it. I just buy the stuff. I hear it is easy to make, but when my mom made it, it was not edible. I don't know if she used bad tahini or too much tahini or what. Tahini is sold (at least around here) in one of two places. With the peanut butter, or in the refrigerated section. I've also heard it is easy to make by grinding sesame...
  19. Nope. Not national. You can get them in Eastern PA but I was told they are not in Western PA. I am in WA and have to mail order them. I did see a big bag of assorted single serve bags in someone's vehicle but I don't know where they got them from.
  20. I used to get pita sandwiches stuffed with hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. I LOVED them! So I had an idea. What about putting those toppings on a pizza crust? Bake the crust first, spread it with hummus and then add the the vegetabes. Olives would be good on this too.
  21. I've baked in the crockpot but not gluten-free.
  22. The legality of this would depend on where you live. Here, you can not bring in food or drink. I have been to some places in other states where they do not serve liquor, but you can bring in your own. You would have to check in your area.
  23. IMO, the only safe thing at McDonalds is the packaged apples.
  24. I've never heard this before.
  25. I found it. Had to google for gluten free pasta and Olive Garden. Sounds good!
