  1. This is not my recipe. I got it off of the celiac newsgroup. I have made it a couple of times. Came out well. I added a tiny bit of olive oil to it. "Hi All It's been quite a while since iI posted but I just had to post a very simple delicous bread recipe I have developed. Like my mother used to say "necessity is the mother of invention". We travel...
  2. I've heard of it but isn't it pretty expensive?
  3. We can't have eggs or dairy. There is no dairy free margarine for sale here. I used coconut oil and egg replacer for the brownies. They came out really well. Tonight we tried the chocolate chip cookies. They didn't come out well at all! Because we used egg replacer they seemed super dry. So I added more water. Perhaps too much! They came out...
  4. There's also dairy in there. They have been less than up front with us too many times about their food. We won't touch the fries. Only things we'll buy from them are apples (pre-packaged) and drinks.
  5. I've read the same thing and also have read that they can be soy based. I generally avoid products with those in them unless they cite the source.
  6. BLT stuffed cherry tomatoes. If you do a search online you'll come up with a variety of recipes. Basically you cut the tops off of some cherry tomatoes then use a melon baller or small spoon to scoop out the insides. Turn upside down on paper towels and let drain for a little while. The filling is crisply cooked bacon, crumbled and mixed with mayo...
  7. Is there a Costco in your area? We started shopping there and are saving tons of money. Our diet is somewhat more limited now, but we'll just live with it for the time being. Yes, you do have to buy things in large quantities. But for most fruits and vegetables, that's fine with me!
  8. Never go by what it says on a website. Read every label every time. Manufacturers change ingredients all the time. Sorry.
  9. Gee, no wonder it made us so sick.
  10. Hmmm... I used to eat it but stopped. Could have sworn it had dairy in it. These days I get Shelton's. It's gluten-free and dairy free. Only thing is, it's mostly wild rice. Very little chicken and broth in it.
  11. Would not work if you were baking it all there. Wheat (or other) flour would get in the air. Best to do all gluten-free.
  12. I have the small Bosch stand mixer. I read somewhere that it is the best for gluten-free baking.
  13. I make something similar. I put chicken in mine and carrots, celery and onion. I used to add peas but daughter is allergic.
  14. I think Ener-G are safe.
  15. I would probably buy that unless my daughter had a reaction to it and then I certainly would not. I would not buy a product that said it was made on shared lines with wheat or may contain traces of...
  16. You can make an ice cream out of bananas. Simply break them in chunks then put in the freezer until frozen. When you're ready to eat, put them in your blender. If you want another flavor, you can add frozen berries, chocolate, nuts or whatever you like. You can also make a refreshing dessert with canned pineappple chunks. Drain off the juice, reserve...
  17. My daughter likes this too but feels it doesn't stick with her for very long. I will make a quick snack sandwich on it for her before dance class. For a meal, she prefers their Rice Starch bread because it is more filling.
  18. I'm with you! Things have gotten better now that my thyroid is no longer out of whack. When it was, I had blankets everywhere. In my van, in every room of my house. I also had a lot of little fans because it didn't take much for me to overheat at all. At the time I was living in Alameda, CA where it was pretty much 70 degrees year round. These days...

    ARCHIVED Taco Bell

I used to eat at Taco Bell and shudder about it now. Too much junk in the food. Luckily we have two places here, Taco Del Mar and Taco Time that offer safe, healthy options.
  20. Yay! I found evidence that is is in fact gluten-free. Daughter loves anything with sprinkles on it. She will be sooo happy! Now I hope I can find the cereal! Open Original Shared Link
  21. Thanks! I do know about the other cereals and she does like some of them. Nut allergy means nothing with peanut butter. I thought this Cookie Crisp would be good to use not as a cereal but a finger food on the way to dance class. Could be put in a bag and eaten with fingers. Of course I don't know what her schedule will be next year. This year she...
  22. Those look good. Thanks!
  23. It would be far easier just to have a separate oven for her. But I'm curious what you put in it? We don't have one and have no need for it. I have a separate toaster for my daughter. Just a cheap one. Works just fine. I had a toaster oven many years ago. I guess I thought I needed one because my parents had one. They do use theirs a lot for some...
  24. I wouldn't eat it either but was thinking of it for my daughter.
  25. No nuts or eggs. I don't think there is milk unless it is the chocolate chip cookies. We didn't buy those.
