  1. I made Cherry Jazz for Thanksgiving. Start with two cans of cherry pie filling. Or any other kind of fruit pie filling, or if you prefer, you can use canned peaches or other fruit. Dump these in a 9" x 11" pan. Top with a package of Namaste (or any other gluten-free 2 layer cake mix) white cake mix. Drizzle over the top, 1 cup of melted coconut oil...
  2. Not Taco Bell. You couldn't pay me to eat there. They put soy in everything. Taco Del Mar and Taco Time are (I think) local chains. I'm in the Pacific Northwest.
  3. Orgran makes a canned pasta that fits your description. You can get it online and I've seen it at some health food stores. It's quite sweet, so if you like Spaghettios, you'll like it. Shelton's makes a chicken and wild rice soup and a chicken chili that are good. Amy's makes some soups that fit your parameters. I no longer have any in the house...
  4. At Burger King, we get a plain hamburger patty, fries (may or not be safe, depending on where you go), apple fries and a side salad with no dressing. At Taco Del Mar, we get a Baja Bowl or corn tortilla tacos. All of the meat is safe except for the pork. I believe the fish is breaded. We don't like fish so I never asked about it. The chips and salsa...
  5. I have checked my broth again and can't see anything that looks like it would be gluten. Could it be cc?
  6. This is odd. I haven't bought any Swanson's broth in years. I think it contained soy and we avoid that. But I recently bought a case of the chicken at Costco. I think it was organic. It appeared to be safe. They also had beef and it was not safe, but once again, I think it was soy. I normally buy Pacific or Imagine. I only bought the Swanson because...
  7. Plain raw meat is fine. Some prepared meats are fine. I buy Hormel Roast Beef Au Jus. It's gluten-free. Also a maple glazed ham, but I can't remember the brand. Most lunch meats are fine and some will even say gluten-free on them. But some do contain gluten so you have to check the label. I would be wary of buying from the deli case because the slicer...
  8. My daughter and I have IgG allergies. This is something that a standard allergist generally doesn't believe in, but it's very real. I am allergic to eggs and my symptoms are like yours. Daughter used to be allergic to gluten but is no longer. She has outgrown some of her allergies and can now eat those things but is to have them no more than twice a week...
  9. Gluten is not an issue for me, but I did request vegetarian meals when I had my daughter. The meals always came with meat on them. They would then say they would fix it, and all I would get was a pathetic grilled cheese sandwich on cheap white bread that was totally soggy and inedible by the time I got it. Luckily I had packed plenty of food with me and...
  10. I am one who tends to eat the same thing day after day, except for dinner. That's usually different. But my breakfast is the same and my lunch is the same until I tire of it and then I switch to something else. My daughter is always yapping at me and telling me I'll become allergic. She is on the rotation diet now after outgrowing some of her allergies...
  11. Namaste crust is really good, but I am lazy and since I can't eat real cheese anyway... I just use Ener-G rice crusts. They work for me.
  12. My daughter loves Tings and Ener-G pretzels called Wylde. No soy in them. When she was a toddler she loved raw baby carrots, black olives (pitted) and green beans straight from the can. To this day her favorite foods are green beans and black olives.
  13. Nope. No malt in them.
  14. Yep. Drs. kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me but they couldn't explain the chronic infections I was having. Then finally when I simply could not walk (diabetic neuropathy), the ER said, "You have diabetes. See your Dr." Daughter has had wrist injuries and for the most recent one, they said they would assume a break until they could tell...
  15. That's true and if you have additioinal allergies, that can further limit the amount of recipes you can use. I figure I am lucky if I can find one or two recipes per book that I can use.
  16. Darn it. They have eggs! Daughter loved the Miss Robens but I don't much like baking them. If I recall, they were kind of a pain.
  17. I eat the Ian's nuggets almost every day for lunch. I like them. Daughter used to but now says she doesn't. She will however eat them. She dips them in ketchup and mustard. She prefers the fish sticks. Both of us like the kid's meal with the nuggets. Oddly those nuggets are larger. Haven't used the Annies in a long time. I used to get some tomato...
  18. I'm a diabetic with food allergies. I can't cheat. Not ever. Do you know what high blood sugar does to your body? I already have nerve damage to my feet. legs and stomach from the diabetes. And because of the nerve damage to the stomach, that further limits my choices. I can not even eat a steak or roast beef. I simply can't digest it. My daughter...
  19. I tried contacting them a couple of years ago but they never got back to me. We went there anyway because it's where my nephew wanted his birthday lunch. Now I must say, we have additional allergies and I have gastroparesis and can't digest steak. So I didn't ask about that. What we had was a plain salad, hamburger patty and a plain baked potato....
  20. Namaste is good.
  21. You need to buy gluten free oats. But they're expensive!
  22. I don't have celiac but I do have diabetes, food allergies, and other medical problems, including being disabled. At times I have had problems with my thyroid. Not *knock wood* at the moment. I must say I never liked to travel so not doing that is not a big deal for me. I currently dread travel unless I know exactly where we are going and have been...
  23. Taco Del Mar Baja Bowls or tacos with corn tortillas. All meat is safe except for the pork. Burger King has burger patties with no bun, side salads, apple fries and maybe the French fries. They are safe at ours.
  24. I get some stuff here and other places online. Also a lot from my health food store.
  25. My daughter and I go to Taco Del Mar for a Baja Bowl or tacos with corn tortillas, beans, rice, chips and salsa. Sometimes we go to Wendy's for chili, salad, oranges, and a baked potato or fries. The fries may or may not be gluten-free where you live. They are at ours. At Burger King we have a hamburger patty, fries and apple fries. We do not eat at...
