    Hi, I just read your post about your wonderful recovery after going gluten-free...(no pain, etc) It's very encouraging! THANKS for sharing it.     I know that there are some teas that have gluten, especially Japanese teas that have barley in them. Some herbal teas may too. I don't know about Earl Grey, except that I haven't had any in 20 years because it made me sick (pre-diagnosis). I do always ask to see the label in a coffee shop, and usually check the brands out before I go (for example I think...

    Add me to the list. Mine are always spiders and/or webs. I haven't had one in a while so maybe they were related to gluten. I always thought it was part of my other sleep habits, like talking in my sleep and not remembering later or getting up, walking across the room and turning off the alarm and not remembering later.

    I think the most recent statistics are that 40% (including me) were overweight at the time of diagnosis. I am (too) close to being obese...scary. I think my body still thinks it's starving. My nutritionist told me at diagnosis that my body thought it was starving so it held on to every last calorie and it lowered my metabolism so I wouldn't burn more calories...

    Give it more time. I used to have this all over but noticed last summer after a year gluten-free that it was gone. I hope it clears up for you...maybe next summer you'll be wearing shorts and short skirts!

    Ellen, I'm not sure that there is a gene for MM. If there is research or if you've read about it please post the info. The last I read stated that scientists think that some but not all MM is genetic but I was not aware that they've found the gene as they have in celiac. I would say, yes, have your blood screened for MGUS but only if you don't want...

    I have to put medical-grade tape over the snap on my jeans. I can wear stainless steel wire earrings (the dangly kind) but not posts. Raven, do you think your sensitivitity has decreased since you went gluten free? Is there a connection?

    I was just diagnosed with celiac disease. Last week I had bad pain that I thought was gall bladder pain...NOT. The pain was sudden, something I've never had before. Doctor said I have "several" angiolipomas on my liver and kidney! OMG, I'm worried. (Lipoma is spelled lypoma in Europe.) Lipomas are fatty lumps, bumps and tumors. Anyway, while surfing...
