  4. hey easy.. my symptoms were very mild , very bad gas and diarrhea if you consider those mild...lol but after 25 years of dealing with it i guess it just seemed normal.its just been recently when the headaches and now severe bone and joint pain started. i went to the dr. last week and he talked me into giving it another go and see if the pain goes away. ...
  5. hey everyone its been a while since ive been here, but im back. i gave up the gluten free life for the last year or so and while i must say i enjoyed eating 'normal' again im ready to give it another serious go.my symptoms are still very minor , but i think im starting to notice more little annoying symptoms like joint pain and headaches are getting worse...

  7. i actually went to a gi doc beacause i had constant gas which my wife and coworkers didnt appreciate, its kinda a joke at work now .i tell them i have a medical condition...lol, but the doc hit it on the head 2 mins into interview. i had blood work and scopes and both came back positive. no one else in my family has been tested ,but im convinced...
  8. i avoided this web site for the last 7 or 8 months because i said "screw it" and started eating whatever i wanted, i dont know why, but something made me log on tonight and i read a post about cheating on the diet and it made me feel like crap and it made me wonder if anyone else has the same dilema ..blood test and scope says i have celiac but i just dont...
  9. i wish i could say i dont cheat, but i fall off the wagon ALL the time, it has been really difficult to deal with because i dont have any horrible symptoms or side affects , unless you consider gas and loose movements not always big 'd'. its almost like ive been dealing with this for sooo long im used to it..ive actually been off the diet since thankgiving...
  10. i fell off the wagon a week before thanksgiving and ate everything in sight thru christmas, now 10 lbs and major headaches later , i trying to get back on track.i never used to get bad headaches after eating gluten,but im working on a 5 day headache marathon. my only symptoms before were upset stomach and big d which i handled i thought pretty good for...

  13. i go to lonestar quite often without problems, but i must admit im not very sensitive to glutening symptoms, except bad gas thats usually when i know.. good luck and have a great dinner

  16. no problems here either. i have it for lunch often. i order the "naked combo" it is soooo good. also i went to buena beef today and had the same thing they even had it listed on the menu as the naked combo, i thought that was pretty cool
  17. diarrea and gas are my only two symptoms and ive dealt with them for the last 25 or so years thats why going gluten free is soo friggin hard, i almost think l lived with the symptoms so long i got used to them.my wife and co-workers on the other hand , not so much..lol good luck to you

  19. thanks for writing this topic, ive been discussing this with my wife for a couple of weeks now, im still having a hard time with the whole gluten free lifestyle, ive been seriously thinking of trying a beer again just to see if im sensitive to it or not. i am EXTREMLY LUCKY i dont seem to react to alot of things, not that im going to munch on a loaf of bread...

  21. i guess it really depends on how sensitive you are to gluten . in my short time on the gluten free diet ive only felt really "glutened" mabey once or twice, the first time was a rookie mistake , we went out for dinner and i ordered a cheeseburger with the bun and just took it off,i really didnt think it was going to be a big deal. bad mistake.other than that...
  22. just got back from sunset foods in libertyville and was amazed at the selection, they now have a entire half side of a full aisle of gluten free foods. everything from flour to cookies, pasta, crackers etc.... all witH at least 2 or 3 brands to chose from, prices are still EXTREMELY high.also found 3 types of bread ,not frozen.I HATE FROZEN BREAD,im trying...

  24. yes .the walmart in waukegan illinois does ,its the only one i go to so i dont know about other walmarts
  25. WOW!!!thats a great price, too bad im in illinois. the walmart by my house sells VANS gluten-free waffles for $1.72 a box. i usually load up on those.the other day i found breakfast bars for $2.50 a box . i cant remember the brand name but i loaded up on those too
