  2. HA! Yea, I noticed the blue boxes yesturday too! I thought I "earned" them or something. Now I know!
  3. I think that it is possible that the Clear Logix may have had gluten and caused the blister. For acne, I've of people using birth control pills to control their bad acne. Just a suggestion Thanks for the info! I try and keep my stuff separated in cupboards, but it's hard when you're living with people who eat gluten! I just recently bought a squeeze...
  4. Thanks for the recipes, I will probably try some of them when I feel adventurous!
  5. Mari, Where exactly in Italy did you go? I am interested in going there and would love to know where some of those restaurants and stores are!
  6. There are a few articles on this site about oats that you could send to her: https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid...-13105020922.f2 I find that you can't believe everything knowledgeable people say. Once I went to a celiac presentation and the presentor said that wheat starch is most likely ok for us to eat!

  8. I had really bad nausea for awhile after going gluten free. Some of it may have been accidental gluten though since I was fairly new to the diet and all. However, it may have been my body adjusting to the new diet(s) (I went gluten and lactose free at around the same time).

  10. In people with celiac disease, gluten damages the villi in the small intestine making nutrient absorption difficult or nearly impossible in severe cases. Wheat allergy is a severe reaction to wheat but there is no intestinal damage.
  11. I had a ton of sinus problems before going gluten free. I got sinus infections a lot and my nose was stuffy about 99% of the time. However, most of the problems have cleared up since going gluten free. It could be a coincidence though. If you want blood tests and biopsies done to diagnose celiac, your daughter would have to be eating gluten. If she...
  12. I do a lot of my own cooking. I find gluten-free recipes that I like and make them! You can proably find a gluten free version of most gluten meals. You can make gluten free pizza, spagetti, stir fries, chili, tacos, hamburgers with gluten-free buns, even streak sandwiches in gluten-free hot dog buns! I find that most foods that do not have a gluten free...
  13. richard, I think that is most likely what is going on. They don't want to get in trouble since they aren't 100% sure on some of the sources of their ingredients so they won't say it is for sure gluten free.
  14. Are the pixels the right size? That may be the problem. Or maybe try some of the other file types.

  16. So Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles are safe! That's great! Has anyone ever reacted to them?
  17. That's interesting... maybe the bite sized ones are made with wheat and the regular sized ones aren't?
  18. No... snickers are not all gluten-free if you check the infredients lists, there are a few that have gluten in them Open Original Shared Link
  19. yes... apparently, if there is wheat they won't hide it (unlike Canada)
  20. I love stuffing! This is the recipe that I use: Stuffing * Gluten-Free Serves 8–10 * 2 shallots, minced * 2 onions, diced * 2 celery ribs, diced * 2 carrots, diced * 6 TB salted butter * 2 tsp dry sage * 2 tsp dry thyme * 2 tsp salt * 1 tsp pepper * 1/2 cup white wine * 6 cup toasted g...
  21. HA! Wouldn't that just be convenient! A portable device that scans the bar code or something and says "yes! gluten free" or "no! not for you"
  22. some people just don't get it do they. Of course you are not going to put a baby on an actual weight loss diet. Come on now I am lucky because most of the waitress's and waiter's around here have had celiac customers before (I live in a small place). But, I always say something like "I have celiac disease and no bread or gluten can touch my food"....

Here is some places you can get their stuff: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Sterk's Bakery - Vineland, Ontario Phone - 1-800-608-4...
