  1. My grandmother has it and she is mostly English. I am "assuming" the disease orginated after wheat was introduced into our diets. Like 9,000 years ago but I really have no idea.
  2. It depends on the extent of the damage for each individual. Gluten damages the villi of the small intestine which are resposible for breaking down nutrients, fats, vitamins, ect. 4. The reason why your body may not be able to tolerate starchy things is because gluten can damage the part of the intestine that breaks down starch.

  8. Try and find the natural foods section and look for gluten free products. That is your safest route. When checking ingredients, always be suspisious of Natural Flavoring, Modified food starch, Starch ect. If the company does not put the source in brackets then I would not eat it or buy it (unless you call or have a source that says it is gluten free). Some...

  13. I get severe upper midline abdominal pain. I get it so bad sometimes that I cannot move until it goes away. It's very scary. I had a few ideas on what it may be: 1) acute or chronic pancreatitis or 2) a reaction to gluten I have had my pancreas enzyme levels checked (a blood test to see if your pancrease is working proporly), however, the blood test was...

    ARCHIVED Yikes!

Doctors are always trying to throw medicine at you $$ I was put on a bunch of different drugs to help me feel better, and I just quit taking them all because they actually made me feel worse! It's really sad when you go into the clinic and everyone comes out with a prescription! You don't need an anti-biotic for the common cold or the flu!
  17. Where on the label does it say gluten free? I've looked and can't find it Another question... are any of the lays products produced on separate lines? I've heard that the stax and the baked chips are produced on separate lines but I am not sure. The reason I am asking is because they are discontinuing the Old El Paso chips at my grocery store and I don...

  24. As your body adjusts, it may get worse before it gets better. I wouldn't expect to see drastic results until at least one month into the diet.
  25. I found this: "Special Diets such as Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Low Carb, and Diabetic are no problem as all foods are prepared fresh when you order." on this site: Open Original Shared Link
