  1. Yes, it could be a symptom of adjustment. Allergies to wheat could lead to this type of symptom as well. Just hang in there, it may clear up and be fine. Please keep us posted.
  2. Since it sounds like you are able to get the tests right away, I disagree with the previous poster. Once you start the diet, you cannot do any tests for celiac. But as soon as you finish the tests---yes! Start going gluten-free, as this could very well be the answer you are looking for. This forum is a wonderful source of information to help you make...
  3. Carla, I can't see your new avatar....can't wait to see the curls, LOL! Lisa, sorry you are sick, I don't have a suggestion other than hot water with lemon?? Nyxie, sounds like a full week, keep us posted when you can. Feeling better--well symptoms are more mild and I can do some things, so that is good news. Not high energy or stamina though. ...
  4. C is my main celiac symptom. The best thing that works for me is a combo of Vitamin C and magnesium. I take mine in a buffered Vit C form (Thorne is the brand). Not sure if that is okay during pregnancy. Fibers haven't helped me much.
  5. Popping in to say a quick hello, just caught up reading. I am managing, not feeling great but not terrible either. Almost up to the full amounts of all my drops and new supplements, except ran out of one and waiting for the order to arrive. Rachel thanks for the info, I keep trying to understand how my results should be interpreted. If I understand...
  6. I've seen that referred to quite often on this forum. My response seems to be delayed for about 2 days.

  8. Glad this is working for the babs, and I could live with an occasional 85% day! Way to go to get on top of this right away. I am hanging in there, still have fatigue, brain fog and achiness at times. Really notice my stamina not up. However, the improvement in that one lab gave me a lot of hope that eventually we'll get on top of it all. I wasn't...
  9. Not posting or reading much because I am so busy right now, just wanted to say that my samples should come tomorrow. Its been a month!! First order got lost in the computer, when I put the replacement order in I flipped the order of my address number and didn't catch it. It came all the way to my post office and they sent it back to Texas--but it has yet...
  10. I've never had a pizza stone so I don't know the type of surface or how to use it. But I'll tell you what I did with some slightly used cast iron I was given. I used oven cleaner, soaked it overnight, then did another treatment. It took all the coating down, fully stripped it. Then I re-seasoned it by doing light coatings of shortening and heating in...
  11. Do celiacs wear medi alerts? I hadn't thought of that before.h
  12. It is possible that he shows improvement, enough to show you that you are on the right track, but flares back and forth for awhile. The DH people here on the forum can help you more than I can as I don't have skin conditions associated. But my constipation did exactly this--showed initial change then worsened. I was up and down for a long time. It can...
  13. Thanks, I'm always looking for these recipes! The GFCFSY caught my eye right away.
  14. Thanks, yes. I had been so very discouraged and sometimes was just *sure* it was going to be worse than last year! It's such a major change, with the actual things I did last year being primarily dietary change plus a few things to help heal the gut (three supplements), that it cements in my own mind my celiac diagnosis. Especially when I also restarted...
  15. Carla, sorry about the babs return, hope the M does the trick and without a lot of down time. Yes, it is hard to be thinking of going to China with my daughter making plans. She and her fiance are both very laid back, so they are going to wait a year to get married so they can enjoy the whole process. The hard part is I will likely be in China when it...

    ARCHIVED Fat/mental & Celiac?

I am surprised that this doctor was listed as a celiac-knowledgeable doctor. You are much more informed than he is. The nice thing is we can treat ourselves for celiac disease, since it is a personal choice to eat gluten free. We don't need a doctor's confirmation. Also, after being already gluten free (how long has that been?) you run a high risk...

  18. I have taken TF for years, the main hassle is I travel a lot and it is fragile and has to be kept cool. I didn't test for it well in my last ART so I am not using it now. Yay! One less hassle and it is frighteningly expensive. Sherry
  19. The HOT was no biggie to me. If you have gotten any IV meds by syringe, it is just similar. I guess if someone was queasy they could not look at the pink/red stuff infusing? Sherry
  20. So cool!!! That should be so fun for you both!
  21. Yep, that's me. I am using the small laser pointer. It is just a normal red laser pointer, with a little piece of plastic tubing which she cut herself it looks like, about an inch or a bit more, it slides on the end of the pointer and I put a little vial of water down into a hole in the tubing so that the laser points through the vial and makes a line of...
  22. Quick drive by....have to catch up later. FINALLY some good news. Enterolab fecal fat malabsorption retest (just under 10 months post gluten-free) are normal at <300. I was 1322 last April. Also Dr. G said he prefers me to be on Zithromax and asked that I switch. So tomorrow I'll start, just picked up my script. My doctors (allergist...
  23. Okay, pioneer it is. It goes very fast, so doesn't push the cost up too much. Yes, I agree about the underlying things, but I am needing to remove stress from my system, and want to know if foods might be causing some of the ups and downs. Hey, I think that the neurotransmitter support is helping with sleep, even on the Levaquin still! Perhaps all...
  24. So I might be the first one to do food testing with ART? I realize these may change over time, however so far, with a month between the two ART sessions, there has been a pretty consistent response. The food avoids aren't too many so far, and I have really not been able to determine what foods to eat or avoid by either elimination diet or testing. This...
