ARCHIVED Husbands Request
tammy replied to BamBam's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Mr. BamBam, I simply love the fact that you are so concerned and empathetic to her current situation-her despair. Yes, the fear can be paralyzing but once she faces that fact that being on a committed gluten-free and dairy-free diet has its rewards it will help her move forward. Also, we found a fiber that keeps us regular. We use Psyllium Fiber by... -
Hi Ladies, Recently, I had my annual visit with the GYN. and I felt some mild, internal vaginal irritation the day after the exam. This symptom did disappear the following day. Although I did have irritation the day of the exam last year, I didn't have the same irritation the day of the exam this year. However I wondered what could be the cause this...

Has anyone found a gluten-free personal lubricant? It would be especially helpful if they were also sterile and safe to use on latex condoms. Thanks! -
ARCHIVED Flavors + Coffee
tammy replied to Elizabeth-Elindel's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ghiradelli flavored coffees are free of gluten. We drank them for the past week. No problems here. The chocolate raspberry coffee is my favorite. -
Mainly my stool changes. It gets skinny(squiggly) and semi-digested looking. (Sorry) It seems as though I can eat a little butter and a little yogurt and a little cheese. But ice cream and milk and large quantities of dairy are not good.

ARCHIVED Orgene Organics
tammy posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It looks like a fantastic product but after one use I did experience some mild irritation. My skin became pink on my forehead and parts of my skin felt a little irritated. It did stop after about 4-5 minutes. It has great ingredients and it did make my skin very soft and very hydrated. I want to give it one more try. Has anyone used this product... -

ARCHIVED It's Official... We Can Eat Oats!
tammy replied to jkmunchkin's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
FYI, I just tried the ORGANIC FIBER BAR by Renew Life and it was very good. It is gluten-free, DF, SF and Kosher. I was surprised to see that it has organic oat fiber in it but tried it anyway. I ate half of the bar and waited to see its effects. I did experience a very faint wheeze in my chest. The next day I ate the other half and did not have any... -
Thank you for your reply! How did you determine that Armour was best for you? What type of Doctor is treating you for your hypothyroidism?
-
Mine were attributed to my hormones. Natural progesterone and a change in my thyroid medication STOPPED them!!
-
Have you used the adrenal saliva test kit from ZRT Labs?
-
I have found that I need two thyroid medications to manage my hypothyroidism. Levoxyl and Sustained Release Liothyronine. I have also found that I need nutraceuticals to support my adrenals. Several doctors have mentioned to me to try Armour Thyroid. Armour contains both T4 and T3 making it a bit harder to control than two separate thyroid medications...

Recently we ordered grilled chicken and grilled shrimp for our entrees. Grilled veggies, seasoned rice, salad and grilled pineapple came with this meal. However the seasoned rice had gluten so we were able to substitute mashed potatoes. Our waitress was great and we made certain that we reminded her to not add croutons to our salads and to mix the salad...

Foot Odor: I certainly would use baking soda on your feet to help reduce perspiration and odor. Also, a foot bath with tea tree oil once a week may reduce foot odor as well. Underarm Odor: I have found that using an underarm deodorant with tea tree oil works great for me. BTW, I only have the odor under the left armpit. : } Stool/Urine Odor: I certainly...

My husband is not one to eat sweets daily. But he does eat them periodically. However when he does he eats such a very large portion that he actually feels sick all night and into the next morning. Last night, a holiday, he ate a steak dinner with all the trimmings. Quite understandable to consume more than normal portions of food on any holiday. But then...

Hi Liz, I plan on starting an informal group after the New Year. I would love to hear how your group progresses. BEST WISHES!
-
Hi, Fernwood is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Middletown.
-
Since we are all so busy with the up-coming holiday, why not get together soon after the New Year. I plan on going to some outdoor activities. Fernwood in Pennsylvania has some great moutain tubing as well as a hill for the novice. They also have a tiny outdoor ice skating rink and indoor eating areas. Of course they only would be able to provide hot...

ARCHIVED Holiday Get Together Ny,nj, Pa
tammy replied to tammy's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
It depends on how far people are willing to travel. But generally speaking, it would either be in the area of Middletown, New York or Milford, Pa. I hope to see you soon! -
Good News! So far my husband and I have not experienced any negative effects from using this gluten-free vanilla extract. Usually if something is going to affect me it will happen the same day and then again the next day in my stool.
