  1. (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) Hopefully after seeing the after effects at least your wife will take this a bit more seriously now. I'm sorry everyone gave you such a hard time. OP Some of us react right away when we get glutened but for some of us it takes a couple days to have the gut reaction set in. Personally I have some symptoms...
  2. This is only my opinion but since you have already had positive tests I wouldn't even bother to have more testing done. We have recently been hearing of folks being denied health insurance because of diagnosis. With positive blood tests you really already have a diagnosis, IMHO.
  3. Are you gluten free or when tests came back negative did you stick with a gluten diet? If your still consuming gluten my first suggestion would be to go with a very strict trial of the diet for a couple of months as false negatives are pretty common. My own diagnosis was delayed by years because I show false negative on testing.
  4. I think your wise to delete the spray. B12 should be giving you more energy. I take Country Life sublinguals with no problems. I also take it in the morning as if I take it at night it energizes me and makes it hard to sleep.
  5. Yea a bloated belly is common with celiac. I looked about 6 months preggers for years but within a couple months gluten free and dairy free it was gone. You may also want to eliminate dairy for a bit also as the same area that is damaged by celiac is the area that produces enzymes we need to digest dairy. You also may want to post this question in the prediagnosis...
  6. Not all distilled vinegars are derived from gluten grains. You could try calling the company that makes the sauce and finding out what the one they use is derived from.
  7. Yes it is normal. You got glutened. It is likely that your skin issues will flare up also. I hope your feeling better soon.
  8. It is not the sodium in salt that flares DH it is the iodine in iodized salt. You have no worries about the DH flaring unless something has gluten in it. Do call the companies and make sure the prep is gluten free. The big concern is the flavoring they use. When I had mine done I was told by the company simply not to use the flavoring. Make sure the anesthesiologist...
  9. Your last sentence says it all. We often become more sensitive to CC after we have healed a bit and it is something you do have to be careful to avoid.
  10. First off I agree with the others that this girl is not your freind. Do talk to your Mom about this so she can alert the girls mother about what is going on. Be very careful about eating anything this person can get near as she will likely try to sneak gluten into stuff without you knowing. Be firm about refusing and don't let her bully you. Just because...
  11. If it has wheat protein then it is not gluten free. Not all of us avoid gluten in topicals but many of us do. I wouldn't use this product.
  12. I am not familiar with this stuff but one thing that may be going on is that you are sensitive to gluten grain distilled vinegar. Distilled gluten grains in vinegar and alcohol are considered to be gluten free and many celiacs tolerate them but not all of us. It sounds like this product is something you will need to avoid.
  13. Did your doctor do any stool tests? If not go back and demand them. I had salmonella once for almost 3 weeks with my doctor telling me that it was just my IBS acting up (I hadn't been diagnosed celiac yet at that point). I knew this was different from the daily D I had already had for years. Even immodium wouldn't stop it for more than an hour or so and I...
  14. Some of us have other intolerances that become more noticeable when we have been gluten free for a bit. Have you tried eliminating soy in addition to dairy? We can also become more sensitive to trace amounts of gluten in some processed foods. If you are eating processed stuff you may want to try going with more whole foods for a while. Also be sure to check...
  15. For me the DH, when it wasn't covering my body, was concentrated for years just where yours is, on the inside of my joints not the outside. I notice in your avatar there is a horse. Are you being very careful when feeding and grooming him? Are you avoiding gluten in topicals? We also have to drop iodine from our diet until the lesions have healed and the...
  16. Glad to hear everything went well for you. Now you can get started on the healing. I hope your feeling much better soon.
  17. That is a lot of laxatives for a little girl. You may want to seek a second opinion from another GI doctor or talk to her ped and see if you can get a 'doctors slip' for the need to try the diet. Chronic C is not unusual for us to deal with, I had it for years before the more typically thought of D set in. If she needs that much laxatives she is at a risk...
  18. Make sure to tell the docs what meds you are already on. I had both scopes done at once twice. The first time they started with the lower scope and that experience was not great, but the GI did the anesthesia himself and I have twisted intestines so that was the problem. The endo part of that was fine as by then I was out of it. When I had the scopes redone...
  19. Dapsone is a very toxic drug. You are much better off going gluten free and also avoiding it in topicals. The diet is tough at first for many but it is doable. If you have DH you may also have other organ impact that you are not yet aware of.
  20. I'm sorry you are having so many problems and I hope they figure stuff out for you. If this is early menapause there is a blood test, I think it is FSH, that they can do to see if that is the cause. Could you be dealing with another intolerance? Have you tried eliminating soy and casien to see if that helps?
  21. You mention your results from IGA and IGG did you have the TTG done? I think that is the transglutaminase test. When you have your lower scope done do make sure the prep they give you is gluten free.
  22. Never ever assume a soy sauce is gluten free. Most are made with wheat as well as soy. Regular Kikkoman soy sauce has wheat as the second ingredient even before the soy. I would not touch it.
  23. Some Lay's products have CC issues. Not sure it that is the problem in this case.
