  1. Wow Manna . . . I know you just moved and all, but since everything is in boxes, don't you think it would be in your best interest to move again . . . say on Wednesday after your IL's leave . . . to a new place where they won't have the address?
  2. Got access to a microwave? . . . popcorn
  3. You know, a stapler works good for that.
  4. Thanks Jess. Kinda pricey . . . but hey!! There's free shipping!! So do chickens even care that they are wearing a diaper?
  5. I'm headed to Jess' . . . currently 100 here . . . was still in the 90's last night at 9pm. Jess, I'll sleep anywhere. Just give me a civkrb to coudle with. GFM, good luck with the move . . . and the IL's. I'd help move, but my back is still out . . . went out on vacation. I think I musta left it in North Carolina. Where's Suzzle and her muskle...
  6. Karen, did you go back and read the "old" part of the thread? Believe me when I say that I use to do just that when I worked at DQ in highschool. and believe me when I say, the manager there was a real stingy sonofa...gun. I really don't think most DQ's did/do that but I know my daughter won't be eating any soft serve from the DQ in my home town because...
  7. Hey all . . . I'm back from North Carolina . . . what happened? Did all hell break loose because apparently it's hotter 'n hell here and no rain. Two trees that were transferred last fall died while we were gone. OK, they were in the process of dying when we left but I couldn't believe how quick they completely browned in the last 9 days. Problee gonna...
  8. Ditto!! Off to make chex mix . . . I need you all to pray for my self-control . . . I have none when it comes to chex mix and will make myself sick on it! Plus, I need for some of it to actually survive until tomorrow.
  9. How long have you been gluten free? How long since the last time you challenged gluten? Why are you challenging? Is it because you are not convinced that gluten is a problem? Is it because you find yourself in a social situation and "just can't say no?" I see that you became a member in March. If that is when you started your gluten free journey and...
  10. Don't know about the breath holding thing, but the seizure thing is not too uncommon. They're called febrile seizures. They are always associated with a fever. It's not a result of how high a fever goes but how fast it gets there. Kids tend to outgrow them by age 5 or so. My good friend's daughter had them until kindergarten . . . probably once or...
  11. Anna, Did your dough seem dry and crumbly? . . . then I would add a little more butter. If your dough seemed OK (I know, kind of hard to really tell) and then the cookies just seemed to spread way too much during the cooking process, then cut back a little on the butter and/or you might try refrigerating the dough.
  12. Triple-O . . . . . . The yellow cake mix is OK for cupcakes only (made in cake-form turns out very dry). . . but mine from scratch are way better. The cookies were so-so . . . OK in a pinch . . . but once again, mine from scratch are way better. I think it comes down to the grind of the flour they use. I try to use flours/mixes with...
  13. Are you sure that she actually needs to return to the outside pen? Sounds like she's making herself at home. Can you litter-box train a chicken?
  14. I got mine through Amazon (Toastabags or Toast It Toaster Bags). We use them for travel, too. Have only used them a couple of times but I'm happy with them.
  15. . . . so what you're saying is that your other chickens are vampire chickens? But seriously . . . Poor chickie
  16. . . . yoga? . . . flower arranging? . . . jewelry making?
  17. Yep, that's right . . . get her involved in a new hobby and it will take her mind off of her injuries . . . sewing? . . . water skiing? . . . calligraphy?
  18. I've had mild joint pain for a while. Summers seem to be worse . . . is it the weather or is it because I'm more active (yard work?) My daugher has Celiac. I was tested and it came out negative. I did a 6 month gluten free trial diet and noticed no difference. I went back on gluten and noticed no difference. I know nightshades can be behind joint...
  19. Your pediatrician can prescribe this ahead of time so you can start the process at home and not have to wait in the lab waiting room. Also, I don't think the lab has it on hand (needs to be prescribed by a doctor). . . at least this is how it was in my son's case. Now, my son still did not do that well . . . try to get them to look at something other than...
  20. I think your link may have expired . . . or maybe it's just having trouble today. However, here it is on the Cheeseburger In Paradise site: Open Original Shared Link
  21. Welcome c.d.w.m. Lots of friendly people and helpful advice reside here. Make yourself at home.
  22. So I read a post or two after Peoter's link . . . do you know who what who we haven't talked about in a while? Sven!!!! That's why we haven't seen a whole lot of Nik . . . she's spending all her time with Sven!!! Speaking of Nik . . . She's missed it, it's already tomorrow for her so I will have to say it for us before the clock strikes midnight...
  23. Isn't that common knowledge . . . hence the "no contraception" rule. Also, the Pope owns a ton of stock in the fishing industry. That's why we have the "no meat on Fridays during Lent" rule . . . it really brings in a lot of money. The financial resources for taking over the world has to come from somewhere.
