Ok...so if someone is diagnosed with an allergy to wheat does that mean that they either have or will develop Celiac? Or,,,, can they have skin conditions and not develop into Celiac. . I have a feeling that what was known years ago was not what they know now. I assume on the other hand a person who is confirmed to have Celiac may or may not have or...

Maybe they can attribute certain skin conditions to either being susceptible to getting Celiac......or the other way around....but I have to ask if certain people are prone to Celiac because of genetics and some people aren't. It's kind of the same thing as what came first.....the chicken or the egg.?

Oh my......will the danger never end? It has seemed like no matter what we do or have done the odds were/are against us. Next they'll tell us that just looking at wheat will be dangerous. Oh well....hang in there.

Going Low-Gluten May Harm Good Gut Bacteria, Researchers Warn

It's like a double edged sword.......we do one thing to improve a problem and cause another problem. I'd like to think the ultimate cure might be something that would train or modify the body to prevent the damage that gluten causes. -

Bingo......I think I forgot to mention, longer term Fosamax apparently causes bone to become brittle. Yikes! I thought about giving some feedback to the doctor as to why I cancelled getting the prescription and then thought otherwise.

I'm 77 and since I was diagnosed with Celiac approx. two years ago my doctor recommended a bone scan. It didn't surprise me that the results showed some bone loss. I had gone on a gluten free regimen and hopefully healing has occurred. The doctor prescribed Fosamax and before I got the Fosamax I did a study and found the bad side effects of Fosamax to...

I guess I must ask...are some people actually addicted to gluten or not? From what I have concluded it's not the gluten that I miss since gluten free substitutes are fine with me. It's what I put on the bread..(.jelly) etc.....or what is on the pizza that makes the difference. It seems to me the problem is what gluten was doing to me. Hopefully that... -

`I can't believe that anyone would ever think of cheating. LOL It is quite a temptation. I must admit....if I ever found out that I only had weeks to live from something else I think I would stuff myself with foods that contain gluten before I go. -

The only best thing I do is try to find gluten free substitutes.....example....gluten free pizza etc. -
OMG.....you're right. I am going to study and try to remember all that info. you have provided. From B1 to B12....and different names for each one and how well they are absorbed etc I had previously learned about the different forms of Magnesium. Like most people I just assumed that magnesium is magnesium. Maybe they should come out with a book...

Just checked....the Centrum Silver men 50 plus multiple vitamins have Thiamin and lots of other vitamins and minerals. There are Centrum Silver 50 plus for women also. If some of the vitamins and minerals listed don't meet the daily recommended requirement you can add to those specific ones with additional extra supplements.

Anong the vitamins and minerals I supplement with on a rotating basis....not all of them everyday except a daily multiple vitamin, , I'll have to see if my Centrum silver daily vitamin has Thiamine in it. I was buying the B vitamins separately now I just get the B Complex. Other than that the small amount of tingling/numbness especially in my right foot...
