I can't eat the Reed's ginger chew candies, because I have a diagnosed allergy to cane sugar, an ingredient of those candies. However, I often drink Traditional Medicinals "Ginger Aid" herbal tea. That helps me fight colds, feel warmer when I'm cold, and improve digestion. SUE -

Hi Jason: I'm glad you eliminated 2 of those 5 parasites. You probably don't need to consider the 'unknown protazoan'. I never treated mine and didn't suffer any symptoms. Your choice ... However, I often accidentally swallow water or get water into my nose when I shampoo in the shower. Even though I don't actually ingest the undiluted shampoo, I sometimes swallow water which might contain a bit of shampoo. With all my allergies, I usually spit out the water. I totally agree. I have an ELISA (blood test) diagnosed allergy to cane sugar, which is currently advertised as the only 'natural' sweetener. Agave doesn't bother me at all. Even 'bad press' high fructose corn syrup doesn't bother me. However, I don't overdose on any sugars or sugar sweetened foods. I also avoid all artificial sweetners (except pure stevia...

I never heard of anyone being sensitive to agave, which is NOT an artificial sweetener. However, anything is possible. Nevertheless, I wonder whether your symptoms are related to what you ate the day or night before, rather than the coffee per se. Caffeine in any beverage or food causes reflux for me, but never bloating. SUE

Besides high fiber fruits (esp. pears, apples, oranges), vegies (esp. brocolli, brussel sprouts, green beans), legumes (esp. kidney, black, lentils), I add rice bran to hot cereals, soups, spaghetti sauce or whatever can be thickened. Also check the fiber content of whatever gluten-free breads you buy. Look for at least 3 grams of fiber per slice. SUE -
