  1. I do stuff like that too. Comes from not paying enough attention to stuff like math and chemistry in the 20th.
  2. Yup, that was the one I saw. Sounds like a bit much maple syrup for my taste which is why I thought I would wing it
  3. Butter, olive oil, garlic and parmesan. All you need.
  4. I think because cooking takes a lot of the water out of tomatoes, that cooked are just more concentrated. I know for a long while I could still eat fresh tomatoes, but these got to be too much too (not salicylates though).
  5. I agree with nvsmom. Do one shelf of the pantry at a time - take out everything and check for gluten and only put back what is gluten free. Any unopened packages or cans, a food bank would thank you for them. I know it sounds wasteful to toss things, but the alternative is causing further damage to your son. Only keep his very favorite things and ration...
  6. And she didn't do the DGP either, IgA or IGG
  7. Mindwarp, do you sautee the halved sprouts with bacon and onions? Yummy.
  8. So you think customs are just looking for drugs? Culled from local newspaper: " A dozen tiger penises, a monkey's head, two suitcases of live parrots and a taxidermied baby grizzly bear were some of the oddities seized by government officials at New Zealand borders over the past year. One woman even had live lizards crawling through her handbag...
  9. My fistula, obviously, was not very bad (or particularly bothersome) fortunately. I just suddenly became aware one day that I no longer had it and doc confirmed it was gone. So I have no advices for you - I didn't "do" anything to fix it.
  10. Hello, and welcome! We look forward to your contributions to the board. You have taken a similar diagnostic path to many of us. And yes, unfortunately Sjogren's often travels alongside celiac. There are many on here who have it who will probably be happy to talk to you about it. Yes, "probably" is always awkward - you don' know how to feel
  11. Perhaps Vynsent writes in the bathtub? I watched an HGTV show where the guy categorically rejected the house he was being shown because the ledge on the bathtub was too narow and he was aphraid his laptop would fall in because that's where HE does all his writing
  12. Do we go to the same doc??? Anywho, haven't tried it yet, it's still in the back of me mind how I'm gonna do it.
  13. Nah, Mindwarp, it's rutabaga Now don't ask me why?? Your casserole sounds good (but I think the sprouts would "overpower" it a bit??? Definitely would not get away with it.
  14. Yikes, colchicine alone is enough to make anyone throw up. I had to take it once when I had a gout breakthrough and asked my doctor how long I had to take it. He said until the gout goes away or until you can't tolerate the colchicine any more, which is usually about the same time. I am so sorry you are having to go through that. Have you tried stopping...
  15. I saw a recipe in a waiting room mag (no, I didn't tear it out) that called for cream and maple syrup and roasted salted pecans to go with the acorn squash. Thought I might try the combo in whatever proportions tasted good.
  16. I thought pirating was a job, a BIG job!! Hoisting the Jolly Roger and all, not to mention the sword fighting....
  17. Hey, no fog migration around here! It's meant to stay in the brain where it belongs.
  18. While I was originally diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica, that was later changed to RA (RF negative) and then to psoriatic arthritis. It was my dad who lived with the diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica which I don't believe was accurate, because it is not something you get in your feet. He was on prednisone until he died, and all his teeth started...
  19. Your IgA, while on the lowish side, is not low enough to invalidate the results. but your Gliadin IgA is a definite positive while your tTG scores are negative.. As rosetapper says, couple that with your horrendously low D, and you do sound to be celiac. Did your doctor, when doing all the vitamins, test your B12 and your iron/ferritin? Those are two others...
  20. Welcome, lizzyann. If all tests your doctor ran were IgA based, and you are IgA deficient, then your tests are meaningless. Do you have a copy of the results to post here -- we would be happy to take a look at them and give an opinion. You would need to post the lab ranges too. Celiac diagnosis is a very uncertain thing, and is confounded by non...
  21. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger (eventually)
