  1. Bette Hagman's Caraway Soda Bread turns out everytime for me. I love it. Others may not. It's not a loaf type bread. I don't eat sandwiches, so it works for me.
  2. For me, my goal is to have ONE bread recipe that I LOVE that turns out everytime, which I have, one brownie recipe, check, one in all the major categories that I like to eat, cornbread, etc. Those will be my go to recipes. Everything else is fluff, lol, in my opinion. I like to bake but don't have time or patience to just keep trying new things all of the...
  3. I've started one, too, but only hole punch and insert recipes I've tried and will use again. I have a whole stack I've printed out in the same drawer that I plan to try. I'm also trying to print two sided so I can keep the smaller binder in my drawer. Ha. Have not gotten around to dividers yet, but have often thought I should
  4. I know what you mean! I get most of my recipes off the internet--here and blogs and off of Twitter links.
  5. http://www.(Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned)/Gluten-Free-Every-Day-Cookbook/dp/0740778137/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I2WYV57UQSOZ1Q&colid=17D5LV8UGYM80 Anyone tried his cookbook? I've had it in my wish list on Amazon for over a year.
  6. Thanks for posting that. It looks good! I use Herbamare seasoning all of the time, too. It is great!
  7. I do not know the brand name of the one I bought b/c it was written in Chinese in red letters. I could tell a definite difference in the freshness department as in it was a bit stale. Bob's Red Mill has always been fresher and so I'm back using their brand.
  8. Open Original Shared Link I thought this was worth exploring and wanted to share it with everyone.
  9. I bought Gluten-free Girl and the Chef from Amazon on a gift card. This is mainly a chef's-secrets-main-course cookbook. If you like to use ingredients that chefs already have on hand and want to stock your pantry with them, you'd love this book. Not many breads or desserts. Uses cilantro a lot and other things that I have a reaction to, but probably not...
  10. Thanks for letting us know. I had copied/pasted the sweet chicken bacon wraps recipe. Will probably try it next year, but will give it your approval comment
  11. Lemon chicken sounds so good. Do you have an easy recipe? I baked two different recipes of gluten-free Gingerbread and taking those with sugar-free cool whip to my in-laws this afternoon. What am I cooking tonight? Not a thing
  12. Wow. Thanks for sharing that. I'll have to look for that next time I'm in Whole Foods. Have never seen that brand. I copied the ingredients from their website: All Purpose Flour Rice Flour, Corn Starch, Tapioca Dextrin, Xanthan Gum * Rice Extract All of the above ingredients are Gluten Free & Casein Free and blended masterfully, producing...
  13. Hey, GREAT idea. I just bought some cornmeal yesterday. I'll substitute that for the oats in gluten-free Girl's recipe. I like mine really spicy and need to make a bigger cake for the family. Thanks so much!!!!
  14. You can order this flour online. JULES GLUTEN-FREE FLOUR INGREDIENTS:
  15. Progresso's gluten-free Clam Chowder with Mary Be Gone onion crackers with butter.
  16. Thanks! What kind of chocolate do you use? Also, do you add water in a saucepan or how do you melt it? Microwave? How long? Do you dip them in the chocolate or just pour melted chocolate over the tops?
  17. If they turn out, would you mind posting the recipe? I couldn't find it. Thx!
  18. Well, for Christmas next Saturday, I am taking gingerbread/sugar-free Cool Whip. I cannot do oats, even the gluten-free ones. I would like to substitute sorghum flour for the quinoa, but do not know what to substitute for the oat flour. I'm leaning towards using 1 c. of teff flour (subbing 1/4 c. teff for the oats). The other choice would be 3/4 c...
  19. On my way to Whole Foods. Enjoy Life's snickerdoodles are calling me. Not baking cookies this year.
  20. I love them cooked crisp-tender with fresh Indiana corn in the summer time. Canned corn perhaps?
  21. Open Original Shared Link CORRECTION: It's Gluten-free Cookie Swap (not gluten-free Girl's) Just click "Like" if you're on fb to see the recipes.
  22. Thanks for letting me know. Won't be buying that. That's why I don't like the taste of Betty Crocker's mixes so much even though I've bought them several times. I do like the convenience of them though.
  23. I had no idea I could have been buying it at Kroger's this whole time. THANK YOU, thank you so very much!
  24. I found this by accident online. Looks easy enough to convert to gluten-free. Open Original Shared Link All except for the "digestive cookies." Never heard of those, lol.
  25. Mizzo, or anyone who uses King Arthur's flour, could you provide a link listing their ingredients? I searched for about 10 minutes or longer on their website and couldn't find it. I absolutely dislike the taste of brown rice flour and avoid it. Or, would some kind soul who uses it look and see if brown rice flour is listed in the ingredient list and let...
