  1. All of the fast food places you listed have a food allergy section on their website. Wendy's, I get their baked potato and chili. Some places you can ask for no bun (remember to think of the stuff that goes on the food item though) and tell them why no bun so they use new gloves and don't CC. I personally don't really eat out at fast food places...
  2. Thank you myst and dbmamaz for the links and information. Good luck myst on your bread/bun recipe. Good luck dbmamaz with your food elimination, hope you find more you can eat.
  3. Beginning part of March I called Centrum, they were very nice and helpfull. A couple things changed such as the Vitamin C -- their "old" formula (which I had) had 60mg of Vitamin C. He said that if my Centrum shows Vitamin C as 60mg that it was the old formula which was gluten free. Their "new" formula (will say new formual on the bottle) they cannot...
  4. I also use Pam. On their website they say: Is PAM
  5. myst -- Thank you for the reply. I am trying to understand the whole what flours to use. I have only used boxed mixes and years ago when I use to make cookies (before gluten free) you just buy flour where now there is potato flour, rice flour BUT then they say in the recipes to use a gluten free flour mix or all purpose gluten free flour mix...
  6. I've been trying different box mixes lately (that do not contain tapioca starch/flour) but I am getting to the point where I want to make stuff myself without a mix in a box. The Baking Flours I see in the store or mixes in books all have Tapioca Flour in them... Question: Does anyone have a good All Purpose Baking Flour Mix that can be used for...
  7. JgeorgeSCR -- I would first recommend writing down how you are feeling and then any type of questions you want to ask your doctor. I know whenever I leave the doctors I remember something I really wanted to ask (I'm sure others do the same ) 1.) With the Dry eyes -- Hard to tell this time of the year b/c it is allergy time. 2.) Body Aches ...
  8. I like Uncle Ben's Fast & Natural Whole Grain Instant Brown Rice -- says Gluten Free on the back of the box. Here is a link I found couple months ago when I was looking into rice: Open Original Shared Link
  9. I get Nature Path Organic Corn Flakes and Erewhom Crispy Brown Rice (can also make crispy treats) Recently I have been getting Rice Chex (look at the box to make sure it is not an old one). 10. When I officially went gluten free I had really bad stomach pains the first month even though I was not consuming any gluten. While your healing you do go through A LOT of stuff...stomach pains, mood swings, aches and pains the list goes on. It does get better so hang in there, give it some time. Good Luck
  11. I couldn't pin point it for a while, but finally found out it was tapioca starch and tapioca flour (same thing) that was bothering me. I get bloated, headaches and stomach issues. Is the rice you are eating gluten free? Some rice contain gluten. Good Luck
  12. Some people have a reaction to dairy as they are healing (you can re-introduce it in a couple weeks/months depending on the person) that is why the yogurt could have been bothering you. In regards to the toaster, if you really like toast I would just get a inexpensive one for your gluten free bread. You do not need a breadmaker to make bread. I...
  13. Do you have any heart issues? I am not familiar with "hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia" -- but I am with heart stuff. I have a fast pulse that I take medicine to bring down. If the cookies were chocolate or chocolate chip and you had a lot (a lot of chocolate/caffeine) then that could have been the cause or part. My mom couple Easters ago had a little...
  14. Dove will list gluten if present. I have our shampoo and hair products all Dove. Make-up I use Almay that I called on (concealer), Everyday Minerals (you'll find a thread on here about it). 17. I purchase foods that has that type of label note. If I don't feel well after eating it then I don't eat that food anymore and am more careful with other foods that company makes. Some companies run their gluten free foods first then process other foods that contain wheat, nuts etc. Other companies clean their processing lines when they are going to...
  18. I don't drink coffee but I have read that some do contain gluten, so be careful. Same thing with tea some are not gluten free. When I first started eating gluten free, it was scary trying to figure out what you could eat and couldn't. Kraft, Unilever, Hormel for example are companies that will list gluten ingredients if present. Once you get the hang...
  19. I use Banana Boat sunscreen and the face stick. I believe their tanning lotions are NOT gluten free. Sorry, I don't use self tanning lotion so not sure. A lot of the companies are very friendly if you like a certain brand I would call their 800 line that's what I did with Banana Boat last summer. GOOD LUCK
