  1. We would get a celiac babysitter and that would be the best way so they would know about the diet, we also have a M sticker on all the food that i can have and all my pans and i have myu own side of the counter and that can also work better, my grandparents were really good about it though.
  2. i have regular all the time, for sure gluten-free!
  3. yeah the organic is the only ketchup that is not gluten-free of theirs.
  4. i highly doubt it i think all kellogs cereals have gluten in them.
  5. i've never had a problem with them. i used to eat them all the time and then stopped, but now i have been having them all the time again and haven't gotten sick so i think they are fine cause i get sick from even the littleist

  7. i would never eat there, they have no idea of what they are putting into their food, not a good idea for a place to eat in my opinino.
  8. i took slow Fe, worked well for me. spinach and beef w/ oj was wht i had for din every night for like a month to try to get the levels up.
  9. mine were at LSPCHAS (lucille salter packard childrens hospital at stanford) and they are great, one of the best peds hosp. in the country, find a good hospital, and they will be beter for your son. oh and the kids will get used to the IVs soon, it gets easier after they have had a few (liek me many a pick line...)
  10. just make sure that if he has any siblings that they get a toy too, b/c when my sister had her apendix out, my parents got her a Barbie and i didn't get one. I wa so mad at her i didn't care that she had had surgery because i just wanted a toy as well, so make sure that all sibligs get toys also
  11. i think that you will be fine, some docs let the parents be in the rom with their child during the procedure, so that will make it easier for you. for me it has only been about a 20 minute procedure, which is not very long (i've had 7 hour surgery before) and then he will be in the recovery room, and he will wake up, they might give him a popsicle, and then...
  12. i don't eat at fast food becuase i am scared of CC, but that is just me.
  13. I functioned w/out sleep for 13 years, undiagnosed sleep apnea did it for me... didn'[t realise taht i wasn't sleeping until i went on CPAP and then knew the difference.

  15. we would do tropical juice with frozen mangos and protein powder but i don't like smoothies so....................
  16. don't rule out gluten, i get different reacions every time i get gluten, so you just can't know.
  17. we had 2 sets when my sisters lived at home, but now they are only home on breaks so we are basically gluten-free except for the bread in the corner, i don't think that is being overparonoid butt it worked better liekt ah.
  18. You should go see your doc, cause he/she can prescribe miralax, which works really well if you take 1/2 the dose every morning, that is what i do every morning, and it works pretty well, haven't been to the ER for major laxatives snce.
  19. COMPLETELY AGREE they are not well known, but when you try their products you will always get more and more.

The stanford study was them seeing if people still absorb everything after tehy have been gluten-free for more than a year, and they found out that some people still only absorb 50-75% even when their villi are completely healed, it just has something to do with celiac and how you absord, exactly why i eat 4,000 calories and can;t gain a opund. I know...

  22. The one about gluten free is Mrs. Kim telling them that she made muffins that are gluten-free, but then later she says that the muffins are made from sprouted wheat, so it doesn't really work. I think that that was just a mess up. I don;t know what season it is in though, and no one has eliac, i have seen every episode multiple times. By far m favorite TV...
  23. they told me that i couldn't have it just because i was constipated, yes this was 14 years ago, but still, there are SO many symptoms of celiac, that you really can't diagnose someone by just one symptom that they don't have, you have to look at the big picture. About the soon after eating stuff, it could be that she already has gluten in her system and...
