  1. I use Kraft also. They have a variety of different flavours. And I trust Kraft COMPLETELY!! Karen
  2. Either that or people thought they might find out some "dirt" on some celebrities......
  3. Hubby is a die hard Fighting Irish fan. He's still crying about that game...... lol! I was up on the second floor in the bedrooms putting clothes away, and I could hear him from the basement yelling at the TV. Karen
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum!!! You have come to the right place for support and advice. There are a bunch of really great, knowledgeable people here who are always willing to help out. It sounds like you are quite isolated. I know exactly what you are talking about when you say it's hard to look after your children when you are suffering the effects...
  5. That's another place I get it, I forgot!!! My right thumb joint flares up and hurts to put any pressure on it at all...... When my elbows are sore, they "give out" on me when I go to lean on them..... Karen
  6. I get it all the time and I don't even have to get glutened for it to flare up...... I also get neck pain and pain in my elbow and knee joints..... I just chalk it up to getting old though....... Karen
  7. Then you would click browse to access your own documents/pictures. Make sure the picture you are choosing is small enough though. There is a size limitation. Karen
  8. Rachel: You should print out a copy of the following article and bring it into the store you work at: https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-15105168885.1f Maybe that will change their minds..... Hugs. Karen
  9. I hope you have better luck with having hubby go for the "snip" than I did! Shortly after we were married, Terry got really bad kidney stones. He was in the hospital for two weeks, they were giving him meds and, believe it or not, BEER!, every day trying to get rid of them. They wouldn't budge, so they had to "go in" and crush them with a claw. (I can...
  10. Maybe going gluten free has thrown your thyroid out of whack. I can remember when I first went gluten-free, it threw my thyroid for a loop. My doctor had to adjust my thyroid meds about three times before we got things right...... I would maybe get your thyroid checked to make sure that's okay..... Karen
  11. I was also diagnosed around Christmastime (3 or 4 years ago, I can't remember, I know the boys were already born though and they are 4 yrs old). The first time I was diagnosed (in my early 20's, I can't remember what month that was......) Karen
  12. Robin, Did you figure out how to import onto your Palm Pilot? Hugs. Karen
  13. What is the brand name of the supplements? Karen
  14. This is from the delphi list: Progresso (800-200-9377) (7/07/04) (www.generalmills.com) All ingredients will be listed on the label because their recipes might change. Ingredients will be clearly labeled "wheat, barley or rye" and not hidden. Tomato products are made on totally separate lines from the soups (which contain gluten) Progresso "New...
  15. I'm not too up to date on the casien thing, but when I first had celiac disease, I was also lactose intolerant. What happens is that the part of our intestines that break down lactose are on the very tip of the villi that gets destroyed. When you go on the gluten free diet, eventually your villi grow back, and once that happens, you can again tolerate lactose...
  16. Laura, I also agree with the other posters. If your villi are flattened, it's celiac, no two ways about it. Maybe your doctor just wants to schedule some procedures to pay for his Christmas bills that are going to be coming in....... Ya never know! I would not put myself though all that crap again. Go gluten-free, and once you have the positive...
  17. Naw, Step, we luv ya too much to get p**ed at ya! Wow Lisa! You're right! Waz up with that???? Hugs. Karen
  18. I am still on disability. I went on disability when I couldn't control the celiac or the collagenous colitis. The pain was so intense (I liken it to a constant toothache kind of pain in my abdomen) that literally was driving me insane. Couple that with the fact the the collagenous colitis had me going 20 - 30 times a day, and I was losing my ability to...
  19. Hi Ameme: Welcome to the board! There are a bunch of really great, helpful and knowledgeable people here who are always willing to help out where we can. You have been gluten free for three years so you got the diet down pretty well, I would assume. I just want to make sure you have also checked all your shampoos, lotions, toothpaste, make-up, vitamins...
  20. What is Stoli? Karen
  21. I get them once in a while. Maybe once every month or two. I start off with neon flashes in the shape of a half moon on the side of my eye. Then I know it is coming..... I get really sensitive to light and sound (which can be really hard when you have 4 yr old twin boys running around playing Superman and yelling at the bad guys!!!) The last one I...
  22. I myself am not a coffee drinker, but I definitely have their teas all the time without any problems. Karen
  23. You sound so much like me this time of year. From November to February is just brutal for me. Thank God my doctor and myself recognize it as Seasonal Affective Disorder and change medications accordingly. This is the worst time of year in regards to slipping into a deep funk/depression. Please talk to your doctor about it - contrary to what Tom Cruise...
  24. Hi Brian and Kenny: Welcome to the forum! Ask away as much as you want, we have all been there at the beginning when this seems to be insurmountable, so you will alway have people answering you as best they can. There is also a wealth of information here (and support!) Brian, first off, you can relax, I have confirmed that our dear old Timmy's tea...
  25. Maybe Scott's gotta "flick a switch" at headquarters or something...... Hugs! Karen
