  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Saw this on a restaurant blog in Boston (From the Boston Herald): Against the grain: Wheat allergy doesn
  3. Also near Quincy Market, Nebo Enoteca just added a gluten-free menu with gourmet pizza's and pasta dishes!! Located on 90 North Washington Street (North End) All of nebo
  4. Wow Green's and NUBRU - can you purchase those brands here in the states? I thought Green's was from the UK. Redbridge is my goto gluten-free brew - I do like Bard's and New Grist isn't bad. Best, Adam
  5. I too had the gluten-free pizza at the Uno's in Harvard Square yesterday. I didn't set my expectations too high as I've been let down many times before from lousy pizza crusts in the past. However, I was extremely pleased and impressed for being able to eat pizza in a chain restaurant! The crust was thin and light with crispy edges, but perhaps just slightly...
  6. I know this establishment has been discussed on the forum, but finally made it over there today for lunch and for the first time in 4 years had a sandwich not in the office or at home! Absolutely incredible!! They have an abundance of sandwiches and have two gluten-free breads (Dill and Onion rolls) along with other gluten-free cookies and desserts. I wish...
  7. The Oxford Spa is wonderful. I hit up Le's (used to be Pho Pasteur) at least once a week!! Better value than Wagamama in my opinion.
  8. FYI: The Otherside Cafe now has Harpoon's new Hard Cider on draft!!! Damn tasty!!
  9. The Elephant Walk has a gluten-free menu. It's located at 900 Beacon Street. Open Original Shared Link I'm also a fan of Audubon Circle at 838 Beacon. Great atmosphere. While they don't have a gluten-free menu I've eaten here numerous times and never had any problems. The salads are solid and I've gotten the burger sans roll. It will be extremely crowded...
  10. I second the Oxford Spa!!! Great spot. B Good is also Celiac friendly - substitute the roll for veggies! The fries are baked and not fried. Rialto in the Charles Hotel (Harvard Square) also has a celiac friendly menu (see previous post in this forum).

Where in Boston are you studying? There are some fantastic places in Brookline including Fugakyu, Tsunami (which is BYOB), Ginza, and Mr. Sushi. Osushi in the Copley Mall is really good too. Douzo which is on Dartmouth Street is on my list to hit up. Ma Soba in Beacon hill is decent as well.
  13. FYI: The Clam Box in Ipswich, MA coats their clams in a small amount of flour. However, you can ask them to prepare the clams with just corn meal as they are aware of gluten-intolerance yet they said they can't guarantee cross contamination due to the oil. If you arrive around 2:30pm or at 11 am the oil is fresh.
  14. FYI, UK based Wagama has just opened their newest location in Harvard Square in addition to their Faneuil Hall spot. Menu is online and lists allergens and substitutions for wheat and gluten intolerant. I haven't had the opportunity to hit up either locale, but there certainly could be cross-contamination. 15. I have heard nothing but good reports about Rialto (aside from $$$)! Ofcourse Legal has the gluten-free menu and Henrietta's Table is all organic but has a good selection of options to choose from the menu. As far as Noir is concerned, I've only had drinks there
  16. Wow!! Incredible news!! I work right in Harvard Square and have frequented Henrietta's Table, Noir, Legal Seafood, and the Regattabar but never even thought about Rialto!!! I will be checking out the menu this week!! Thanks, Adam
  17. Excellent - been meaning to check this one out!!!! Thanks for the head's up!!
  18. I was just out there last weekend...here's a link with some places to check out...I'm very familiar with The Wharf in Edgartown - haven't actually eaten there but have spent many late nights there Open Original Shared Link
  19. Also, The Clam Box in Ipswich uses corn meal and not flour and same goes for J.T. Farnham's in Essex - at least both places did the last time I was there...
  20. I love Strongbow!! I find it drier and less sweet than Magners, but more difficult to find on draft even here in Boston. In a 19.2 fl oz bottle of Magners... Calories: 215 Total Carbs: 19g Ciderjack and Original Sin Cider are all also decent alternatives and obviously better out of a keg...
  21. Additionally, you could look into a pre-tax flexible spending account which might be offered by your employer. Granted, it takes some effort but it is possible to deduct the increased cost of "speciality food." You can't deduct the full price of say a gluten-free loaf of bread but the increased cost, from say a "normal" loaf. If a gluten-free loaf is $6,...
  22. I was down on the Cape for the 4th and dropped by Windmill Liquors in Orleans, MA. I was blown away by their gluten-free beer selection...I was hoping that they carried Redbridge and...instead had: -New Grist -Bard's -Redbridge -Ramapo Valley They are selling all four extremely well and prices were reasonable except Ramapo which was $11 for a 6-pack...
  23. I absolutely love Redbridge. At one of the local liquor/wine stores in Boston that I frequent, the A-B is priced at $7.99 and the Bard's is priced at $11.99...both great products but going on price A-B wins. I like Dragon's Gold but 12 bones + deposit is still a lot - even for a craft beer. Hopefully, they will adjust their price down the line.
  24. You beat me to it!! Mainstream indeed! Redbridge is pretty damn good and I'm very excited awareness is increasing! Best, Adam
  25. So are the Whole Foods 365 brand....at least the daily multiple is...states Gluten Free on the bottle.
