  1. You really need to stick to the diet. Not following the diet puts you 40-100 times more likely to get cancer then the normal population and the mortality rate is nearly double when not following it. It does not have to be expensive. By fruits and veggies and that kind of thing. There is alot of normal foods we can have at the regular grocery store. Look...
  2. You can go to the McCormick site and find ingredients to everything that they have Open Original Shared Link That is their garlic powder one
  3. I use McCormick garlic powder...they will not hide anything so if it did contain it then it would tell you. Not sure about other brands
  4. It is when the intestinal tract has increased permeability and allows toxins and harmful microorganisms into your bloodstream.
  5. Have you had a full celiac panel done before or is that the only one you had done? Anemia can come with celiac. Surgeries can trigger celiac. You can eat out at certain places which have gluten free menus. There are still alcoholic beverages you can have which you can find on this site. There are still alot of things you can have it's a matter of finding...
  6. Wow I feel bad for people over there that have a severe allergy to wheat...how would the survive over there? I guess there is always fruits and veggies. Even here gluten is hidden under so much but their are choices of things to eat. Maybe they will get more updated with things the more and more celiac is diagnosed there.
  7. Yes Sally. For 3 months prior to testing you should be gluten free or the results can come back not accurate.
  8. What crap...trendy? Diagnosing it is trendy? Then why are over 2 million people in the US walking around undiagnosed from it. Celiac is finally getting some well deserved attention... as far as your results are concerned you did not get a full celiac panel but you have some mixed results. I think that is it best to avoid gluten because something put those...
  9. There is a guy that keeps asking me out to dinner...I tell him over and over I am a celiac and he always forgets and asks what it is and I've explained it to him like about 20 times now. Sally &Minibabe-looks like you guys found 2 keepers
  10. Molly-alot of people are allergic to chlorine so maybe that caused your reaction or maybe there was a chemical that contained gluten. We got an answer back from the company and Baquacil is gluten free.
  11. You could also just not have symptoms with the small amounts but it still could be causing damage. You do not have to have symptoms in order for you to have celiac. The more you are off gluten the more sensitive to it you become. I was not very sensitive at first but now I am extremely sensitive to any amount. Good luck
  12. Yep General Mills will clearly list gluten on their label....could it have been something else you had?
  13. I agree with Sally I don't trust that either...all celiacs need to avoid all gluten.
  14. Wow that is ridiculous....why would they even want to have it labeled gluten free when its not? Shows how much they care about the consumers. At least the lady was helpful and saved you from being glutened
  15. Thanks Monica I'll take a look at it...I can't use them unless I am given permission by them though.
  16. Yeah I have sections on symptoms, complications of ignoring the diet, cross contamination, a section for people with friends and loved ones with it, how to get tested& the diagnosis process,treatment-gluten free diet, personal experiences with celiac, and some other sections with manufacturers numbers and so forth. Thanks for the suggestion...helps to...
  17. That was one thing I was wondering about...I think I am going to put them in it and say this is correct to my knowledge but companies change their policies frequently and I will put the #'s by the company name as well.
  18. The lady at the pool store said there are some chemicals that may not be gluten free so we need to check. This is the first year going to Baquacil so she wanted to make sure because I have skin reactions to gluten as well..very easy way to get in your mouth to so we definitely need to find out before using...I have the list of ingredients on the pack do...
  19. Some people are overweight with it and gain instead of lose. Different bodies just react differently to the gluten.
  20. The fact that you are experiencing anything at all should be a sign that your body is not handling gluten. You may or may not get worse. Some people don't even get symptoms when eating gluten but it still does the damage. How long have you been gluten free. They usually recommend being on gluten for 3 months before testing because if you were gluten free...
  21. Ok my mom really wants to know the answer to this and I have no clue... We have a pool we just opened and she wants to know if the chemicals she is putting in are gluten free. Do any of you know if Baquacil is gluten free? Thanks
  22. Johnson and Johnson bandaids are supposed to be gluten free. It is common for adhesives to contain gluten.
  23. Karen Yes most definitely. I am going to be trying to collect stories for another week or two. Thanks
