  1. That cracks me up...I'll be sharing that with alot of people I know...thanks celiac3270
  2. https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid=12 Take a look at the forbidden list and see all the things gluten can be hidden under. It can be hidden under natural and artificial flavors and so forth. If you are eating alot of yogurt yoplait will clearly label wheat, rye, barley, oats so that is all you have to look for on that label.
  3. Yes that is one of the symptoms. Are you good about being gluten free? Your diet should be controlling them.
  4. I personally would not risk it. That company has high contamination and it's just not worth it.
  5. I wonder too...I was breastfed for a long time and intoduced to wheat late....didn't prevent celiac disease
  6. Great! Thanks for posting
  7. Haw many calories are you consuming? Are you very careful with your diet? Have you checked products you are using that could contain gluten you could accidentally ingest? There are many fatty foods we can have that are good for gaining weight. I had the same problem before. Ensure Plus gives 350 calories for one little bottle which measures to a cup. It tastes...
  8. Well Ensure Plus is gluten free. Even though it is not a weight gain powder it tastes better then any I have ever tried and gives you alot of calories...it has 350 calories in 1 little bottle(1 cup)...(make sure you drink it chilled then it tastes really good)
  9. I knew the recipe except I have always done it without the 1 tsp of vanilla. Thanks I'll have to try it that way
  10. Yes they can diagnose you with only blood tests. For my diagnosis I only had blood tests. This is a great place to come for any questions and support If you need any help let me know Good luck
  11. You do not need an official diagnosis unless there is a reason you think you need one. I would personally just listen to your body...you know it runs in the family and you had a weak positive when trying to be gluten free for 2 months then that should also speak for something. As Kristina said the rest of your children should be checked....other blood relatives...
  12. Everyone has their moments when that happens. Don't beat yourself up about it things like that happen sometimes. Happened to me a few times...just learn from them when you can and try to prevent it next time. But sometimes accidents are inevitable. Did you get a bad reaction yet?
  13. Hope this helps you all out
  14. Their hot fudge and caramel ones are ok Don't know if they have other ones but I think they are all including toppings gluten free....
  15. Be careful about that diet. My former neighbor who was 48 and in good health died suddenly last week from a heart attack. He had just been checked by the doctor prior to that incident and they said he was fine. He was not much if any overweight, he was active, no high cholestorol or anything and he just died....while he was on the diet.
  16. You mentioned preschool in your post...is there something there she is eating...or something with gluten like playdoh she is playing with? Also there could be another food that is a problem. If she is still healing milk may be a problem. Good luck
  17. I think I am going to be able to get something....I still have to call a bit and explain the situation.
  18. yeah anything by Kraft that doesn't have wheat, rye, barley, oats on the label is safe...they dont hide any gluten under any ingredients at all
  19. Breyers will not hide anything...they will list wheat, rye, barley, or oats on the label
  20. I agree with Ian....I got to that point to...my health is more important then to worry about offending somebody about food.
  21. Unless a Kraft label says wheat, rye, barley, or oats it is safe. It will not hide anything
  22. Balance will clearly list wheat, rye, barley, or oats
  23. Breyers will not hide anything. Unless it says wheat, rye, barley, oats it is ok I love Edy's ice cream too...their website is very helpful
  24. I was healthy growing up tillI got sick in 2002 and was diagnosed in January of 2004. Had some doctors tell me I was fine, putting it all in my head. Switched doctors a few times then saw a doctor who suspected it right away...tests came back positive he referred me to a GI doctor.... The GI doctor then gave me another blood test by a reliable lab(Prometheus...
